Hi everyone,

Some of you have noticed the new Recruitment Program app on the Mass Effect facebook page. Basically how it works is you invite someone to join the program (who isn't already in it). Once they install the app and link their Origin account (or make one and link it), you should both unlock early MP access and be able to start playing (xbox and PC only).

That said, there seem to be a few kinks we need to work out:

- the early MP badge isn't unlocking for a lot of people. The problem has been identified and is being worked on.
- however, even if the badge doesn't unlock, usually the access has still been granted
UPDATE: the badge unlock should be fixed. If you still dont have it unlocked, check that you have recruits who have accepted the invite and linked an account, in your lower Recruit Status screen
- you can check that by going to your profile, top left, and choosing "your registered game content". You should see a ME3 icon with "early multiplayer access - recruitment" (something like that). If you do not, then the app has not granted you what you need for some reason.
- if you think you have recruited someone and should have access, you can log into the PC or Xbox 360 demo and try to play multiplayer.

This is working for a lot of people, but unfortunately not all.  I was one of those people, and discovered at least one fix:

- my Xbox 360 gamer tag was not associated with my Origin account properly. I tested this by downloading the Madden 12 demo, which showed it was using the wrong Origin email/account (I don't necessarily mean to suggest you should all do that :)
- you can check this by going to your profile (top left of the BSN screen), then click on "Your Registered Game Content". If your Xbox gamertag is "none" (or the wrong one, you have to do the next step:
- I contacted EA support via Live Chat and after a few questions they fixed it for me - voila, early MP access on Xbox 360 suddenly worked

(visit the customer service links at EA.com)

On PC: naturally you should make sure the Origin account you linked to the facebook app is exactly the same one you log in with on Origin.  May need to restart Origin as well.  However, I'm not able to confirm a fix because my Origin for PC already had a different (internal to BioWare) early access.

Apologies to those of you experiencing troubles, we will work to rectify that asap and will update you (likely in the morning).

If you post looking for help, please include your platform, and a screen of the facebook app will help too.

UPDATE: thanks folks, I have enough email/info.

For those of you that have been able to get the early access via the app, welcome to the war.

UPDATE 2: You must be 18 to access the app and the ME2 page. If you keep getting pushed back to the main facebook page, that could be the issue.

Good morning all - I notice that mostly folks are trying to recruit other BSN members and/or each other. That of course will work, but potentially you will find it easier (and maybe even less prone to weird errors) if you invite *other* gamer friends to try the demo :) (might be worth a shot for those of you having issues).

PS - if this worked for you (early MP) please post that it worked and

- did the "early mp" badge unlock in the app?
- what platform are you on?
- was mp fun? :D

Also, please be aware that the Recruitment Packs aren't awarded until the FULL game, not in the demo.

Last note: Recruitment Status for your invited players will ONLY start to show them once they accept the app/invite. It's a facebook limitation. So even if you sent a bunch of invites, if nobody accepted them your Recruitment Status will be empty.

I heard MP might not work if you already had early access to the SP demo.
funnily enough, i actually do have the early access SP demo.
to everyone else this isnt working with, did you have the early access demo on your xbox?

that was one of the theories we explored last night but I think it was wrong.

I tried to accept an invite but it redirects me to the front page of facebook. Any info on that?

Make sure you "like" the mass effect (2...dont ask...) page, then accept the terms and install the app. That said, there may be issues with some browsers - might be worth trying an alternate one.

it might be possible that you just have to "start" the single player demo (then back out of it) to fire a flag. Might be worth testing that.

this is starting to get ridiculous..

That's what mine looks like too.

Frustrating.

You'd think being a fan, pre-ordering this game, buying the others and most of the DLC would be enough but...

You should have early access. Are you on PC or 360?

Xbox 360.  I'll go to my  xbox again and see if it's available but I didn't have luck this morning so...

Try this - click your profile (top left) and check "your registered game content". At the top of the screen it shows Xbox Gamertag. if it shows "none", you need to contact EA support (live chat or call).  That is one fix.

Yakko, did you try checking your profile per my last note? This might be fixable?

It's got all my DA and ME2 content on there but I don't see any ME3 references

Hm. Is your BioWare Social login the same as the one you entered when you "linked account" on the app?

Hey Yakko, I'm able to look at your profile and you dont have the ME3 entitlement for some reason. I'm going to run that up the flag here to see what might be happening. Thanks for the info and sorry about this!

I'm at the exact same spot as you are Nexis. only diff I can play online (BF3) BUT I just can't recruit a friend. it's telling me ''pending'' every time I check. so no MP bonus for me at the time.

MODERATORS : please don't lockdown us lol this thread is usefull :)

If you're sending out the requests but not getting any recruited, be aware the other person has to accept the recruitment and link their EA account to the app before it'll register as a "recruited friend", I believe.

If you're not able to send them out at all, or they have linked, then it is beyond my suggestions and I hope Jarrett can get you sorted out along with yakko :P

Thank you! but yeah...they are indeed linke/synced with their EA Origin accounts. ...

Mister Lee, any thoughts? You're like the first moderator I meet that takes time to help us all. This is really appreciated :)

Yeah unfortunately we have identified that tracking invites is not so hot :)  Basically (for now) you can't see your invited players unless they take at least the first step and install the app and accept the rules etc.

Talking to a new person in their chat tech support and got this,

"[/b]Okay due to some technical issues the promotion is delayed>"

:\\

Ok ignore that! :)

I have sent your nucleus ID etc to investigate.

Yeah Jake and Satan, you dont seem to have the entitlement - I have a feeling it has something to do with how your account was linked. Did you use basically the same Origin account as you are using here on BSN (BSN login = Origin login).

Yes, to my knowledge, anyway.

My GamerTag/Email Address is the same like, across the board. Xbox Live, BSN, EA/Origin, etc.

Like, if I logged into EA/Origin, it has my correct email address, my correct gamertag, it acknowledged my GamerTag was online so I knew it had it right, etc.

So yeah, everything is the same unless I'm completely botching something. But I imagine I'd see it if I were.

Crazy - you shouldnt have any problem - can you post a screen cap of your app?

Please, could someone help me? I tried really everything and MP is still locked...
I went to the app and recruited my second facebook account, then I linked it with its own origin account. I finished the demo for SP twice, once for my Origin account and second time for the other account, but the "Finished Demo" part is still crossed out, the badge is still locked and the MP access isn't working. I didn't have SP early access...

Which platform?

Hey guys, updated first post with some of our info. Also, IF you are open to this you can PM me the email associated with your facebook so we can cross check you against Origin. I realize you may not want to and that's fine :) But if we can get a few, we may be able to find a fix.

Hey guys, the requirement for the recruiter (the one sending the invites) to finish the demo to earn packs has been removed. Once their recruits finish the demo, the recruiter gets a pack (up to 5).
