How do I place my gun in the holster & walk around. That way I can walk when appropriate. Plus I want to see if the walking animations have been fixed.

You can't. At least in the demo.

They had to get rid of it for memory purposes, apparently for both the demo and the retail game. There's another thread about it where it's explained.

From what was said by Bioware in another thread, there is no manual holstering, and I'm pretty sure he was referring to the full game. Maybe I misread it, but I'm pretty sure that it was removed.

Unfortunately, it's not possible in ME3 (at least not in combat areas). I tried doing it at different points on both Earth and Sur'Kesh but it never worked. Then I saw Brenon Holmes' explanation in the other thread...

OMG! You guys have to be kidding. We can't even holster our gun & walk normally. That is a big part of the immersive experience. That was also one of the major problems in ME2. The walking animations & motion capturing were all screwed up. Was it that hard for Bioware to keep those RPG elements from ME1 into ME3. I feel like I'm playing a lesser version of Gears of War.Posted Image

Can you guys link the developers explaination thread please.

I guess they got rid of walking for gamers like you, that wanted a Gears of War clone.

They've recycled the same animation for running, only you are in invisible molasses.

Why the hell would you walk around with your gun holstered in a combat zone...

It doesn't make sense that they "took out walking animations for space" ...because we're not going to be walking around the normandy with our guns... so...

its common sense though, would you walk around a combat zone without a weapon drawn, if anything it makes it more reasonable

Don't you guys know that all cover based TPS are gear of war clones? Pfft that Kill.Switch game that gave them the idea of the cover based system? That never happened.

Are we going to be running around in the clubs & public places also. While all the other animations are walking?

In combat zones, you have the gun out. In normal places, you holster the gun.

In combat zones, you have the gun out. In normal places, you holster the gun.

And if you are in an area that doesn't call for a weapon then you don't have one on you at all thus no need to holster anything.
