I don't think anyone here expects anything to change. Especially not now that the game has gone gold. People are mostly just venting their frustration with the situation. Sometimes you just need an outlet and the forums are an appropriate place for that.

I do think BioWare made a mistake and deserve to be called on it. There were too many characters? Okay, well, whose idea was that? Focus excessively on one group (the ME1 squad) to the exclusion of others? Fine, but don't be surprised if that upsets people. Maybe if they had planned things out better we wouldn't even be discussing this.

They should have just stayed with one main squad through all three games; then we wouldn't have this problem. For instance, in ME2 we could have had Liara instead of Samara, Wrex instead of Grunt, etc.

But then we wouldn't have Mordin or Samara or Jack or Jacob!

Least there will always be ME2 for people missing there no show's. Right? Right. Look on the bright side people. Miranda being my fav, you get her for like 99% of the game, can't go wrong.
Here's an idea for Bioware. Make a DLC where you choose 2 squadmates from a list of all the charaters (that survived the events of your ME2 and ME3 playthrough) and go on some quest, like a reaper clean up job or something, and to make things easy for Bioware have no in between party banter (even tho we love that) cause that woulld be hard. tali says this to thane but says this to samara and so on. I can see where Bioware is coming from, to many variables. but that does'nt mean they can't have a few lines about the mission itself. I would just enjoy pushing Start going to sqaud and upgrading thane or legion's or whoever else's powers and acually using them. From what ive seen ME2 charaters are in the game but you never really get to "use them". And its the DLC that keeps on giving, you can go back and choose 2 different squadies after your done. Its gold Jerry gold!

LMAO look at all the inbreds saying that the squad is fine, they should have stuck with the ME1 crew blah blah blah.

They all have the same team dextro signature.

As nice as the german kid who smashed his keyboard. Or the Arab dude who walked into a restaurant with 'candles' strapped around his waist.

Yeah. Nice.

Too many of them, not enough are well liked, some are just pale reflections of other characters or just downright terrible (Grunt and Samara respectively), and others... well idk. Legion, Mordin (if voiced by Beattie), or Miranda were well liked enough to be in the final game. And they should be instead of Vega...

Hey up yours @sshat Samara is by far hands down a cooler, more compeling, interesting and better character then then almost all the ME1 characters with Wrex being the only ME1 squadie who can compete with the ME2 team.

I admit at first I hated Grunt becuase he was well what the heck was he? I grew to like him and found that my response to his character was due to the complete and utter insane motive behind his creation by Okeer.

The fact is Grunt don't know anymore about who he is or where he fits in the universe than the player does and that right there makes him an interesting character that I'd like to have tag along with me more than Ashley, Kaidan, Tali, Garrus, and Liara.

Now I admit I'm not a fan of Morinth but I do try and state that most the time I chose Samara and so my knowelge of Morinth is lemited but she has fans none the less.

Someone above me made a post and included Morinth and not Samara in it and I take it that he chooses Morinth most the time.

So BW really messed up by apeasing the TEAM Dextro Tali-Mancers and Garrus fans. If BW can get Tali and Garrus back full time I see no reason that BW didn't bring Samara, Thane, Legion, Grunt, Zaeed, Kasumi, and Miranda, Jack Jacob T., back as full timers.

The reason they didn't is they wanted to cater to Call of Duty and Halo type Shooter fans I've sent this rant out before.

Dietz stupid book is only a warm up to the back lash BW is gonna get from fans when ME3 hits unless those fans are happy to ****** off and say "ha those charcters sucked any way it's good they didn't get jack for air time"

I will not roll over and suck up and claim that ME3 is the best game in the series when most the things and people I love in it are reduced to little more than a single cameo and a whole whapping 1 or 2 conversations. I will voice and protest and yell about it beacuse IT 's the only damn thing I can do, and even then I will still not be Happy

Becuase BW;s main goal was to cater to mass majority shooter fans so they could make more money by pushing an Online Multiplayer and cookie cutter single player game mode where all conversations are reduced to cut scene.

This is fact BW betrayed a big share of the ME fans and now our ME stories will end not with a bang but a sigh.

Samara would have gotten as many fans as Miranda if she was voiced by Tanya Tate and Shepard could actually bone her.

Too bad.

I (we all do) have no ability to affect what BioWare's gonna do with the ME2 squadmates, but in my honest opinion they're just a lot cooler than ME1 ones.

Jacob, Miranda, Morinth, Mordin, Legion, and Thane (of course~) really deserve more.

Yeah I Argee. Only in my case I prefer Samara to Mornth.
There again BW screwed over 2 fan bases of 2 completley different characters that are liked for completely different reasons.

As much as I'm PO'ed over Samara and Thane I realy feal bad for Morinth's fans as from what I can tell they are getting Sh!t on the most in this whole deal.

Not only do these characters deserve more their fans deserve better given that some were playing since the 360 and then a big lot of new fans joined in on ME2 PS3.

BW is sh!ting all over us and to those who say well maybe BW should just make the other charters DLC sqaudies or missions, I say WTF? That's like throwing salt in open cuts and is a cheap way out.

For me one of the biggest things I've been waiting and wanting since ME2 is some resalution to the near Kiss my Shep and Samara shared instead There will Not even be a mention of it, and it will be like it never happened. Thane fans will have equale reason to be PO'ed.

Which Thane and Samara are 2 of my favorite characters.

For BW to throw characters like Samara, Thane, Legion, Grunt, and Morinth out as DLC is sick. Becuase these characters and their fans are Paying for an end to the ME series and the sole biggest part of the series for me is the Characters, then fallowed by the story but many of these characters are part of my own ME Story and a Key part I want a grand finale conclusion to my relationships with these characters.

To throw them in as an after thought for me would only make things worse, becuase no DLC can be intagrated into the whole main game story. I don't want some stupid Lair of the Shadow Broker for Samara and Thane.

I want to have Samara and Thane right next to me and in the moment where I can talk to them abourd the Normandy after each mission ends to deal with any loose ends.

Interesting how folks are forgetting about Kasumi and her greybox that's contains information that could really hurt the Alliance. Yes she is dlc, but she also had personality and her stealth move was beyond useful, it made gameplay a cinch. Also as I said before she had information that could hurt the humans in the long run, you don't leave something like that floating around.

How so? The term "irony" is often used to mean many different things, and you don't seem to be addressing anyone specifically, so some clarification would be nice.

If I were to venture a guess I'd say he's refering to the mature, upstanding individuals flailing about and venting (in this case a euphemism for long, drawn out tantrums) about those horribly immature players who happen to like more prominent characters. It's a terrible travesty and dextro fans shouldn't be allowed to have any fun.

I guess it could go either way. Most of the opposing view's statements are so ludicrous that they should be considered satire.

I'm more assuming he's a long time BSNer who remembers the mountain of ****ing about how Ashley, Kaidan, and Liara wouldn't be in ME2 and all the ****ing about "My Shep wouldn't work with criminals derp derp!" from a couple years ago, when juxtaposed against the ****ing about how none of these criminals are in the ME3 squad.

Lol, I guess it could be that too. I (thankfully) didn't frequent the forums until a few months ago, but from what I've seen since I can sure imagine it.
