The first door in the game refuses to open. I've reinstalled the game twice, hit every button on my keyboard and mouse at least twice over, and played to this point at least 5 different times with different classes, settings and video drivers. The door refuses to budge. I believe I am well above the minimum system requirements (Intel Core i7-3930k hex-core, EVGA GeForce GTX570 1280MiB, 
16GiB RAM, 120GiB OCZ Vertex 3 SSD with around ~23GiB free, and Windows 7 Ultimate x64.) Is there a secret knock to open the door or do I need to wait for a patch to come out before I can actually play?

Spacebar should do it by default (assuming you're on a PC), after you hold F to stab the thing in the doorway.

You're not the only one saber. I've got the exact same problem. The door won't open for me either. It's very annoying. -.- I'm debating whether to cancel my preorder because of this. I mean if can't get past the first five minutes of the game, what's the point?!

Check your key bindings, maybe somehow they got changed or even blanked out which would explain why nothing works. Just a hunch, doesn't hurt to check.

Needed to bump this thread. Im having the same issue. Is there a way around it? I remapped the use key and reinstalled the game twice. I still cant get past this door.

Have you killed Husk yet? I had this once but suddenly it worked when i was running around door

Make sure that you used a heavy melee in front of the door.

I turned shadows off and it worked for me

same problem started new game for my 2nd run through and kill the husk with melee or powers same result unable to open door.

Tried turn everything to lowest settings no luck
tried shadows off no go
tried 800x600/1024x768 no go
tried windowed mode in all this settings aswell individually and all together and no go still

was llooking forward to doing the second pplay through for that achievement today

upon further searches through trial i have redownloaded the entire game twice and same issue occurs
I have loaded several differant areas of old saves to discover any door that requires manual opening does not open at all nor does it give the option to open it. Seems this is a renewed game issue and hope it gets fixed fast
