I love how the "PC Gamers" used to swear by gameplay over graphics, since in the early days of PC gaming thats all they had. Using a mouse and keyboard offers all sorts of input (especially in strategy games) that can't be replicated using a console controller. It was about the PCs superiority as a gaming platform, not a graphics box.
Now, it seems all these PC fans talk about is fancy graphics terminology I suspect half of them know nothing about. Graphics graphics graphics. Thats all they care about. It's actually quite funny because who is the shallow group of gamer fans now? Enjoy your well designed BF3 campaign with ultra AA and ANA and ANP and whatever the hell it is. Or the "deep" gameplay of Crysis 2 with ultra high xx everything 2323098091283 x 2389342398 1080p resolution.
As someone who plays strategy games on an old laptop and finds it laughably absurd to spend 6000$ on a "gaming rig," I'll enjoy my console games. Y'all have fun with your tech demos.
GFX is one thing, but what I think infuriates people who play on PC in general is poor ported controls and UI.
For eg. in this latest incarnation hou have one button that controls both cover, jumping and whatnots.
Why cant you separate them if you have acces to a keybord with multiple options?
