Maybe I'm just dumb, or blind, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to create a public game with a friend.  When either I, or my friend, create a public game, the game immediately fills up, before the other can join it.  When we create a private game, there is no obvious way that I can see to turn a private game public once they join.

is there a solution coming in retail, am I missing something obvious, or is this just an unfortunate shortcoming?

You're having that much luck filling up games? Usually its not that uncommon for their to be an empty space or two. Just create the empty game and immediately press X, er, whatever your 'invite friends' button is. If the lobby fills up anyway...well, you can always ask someone nicely to leave...or kick them...

Im experiencing the same problem. No problem getting into full quick games or friends joining me.

But if we try to set up a public game nobody joins ever. Pretty sure when you create a public game its not linked to the quick match search that everyone uses.

Hopefully this will be rectified in the retail version.

I've managed it plenty of times. You just set up a private team, make the invites you want, then if there are still spaces when you're in the lobby, select mission settings, change it from private to public then go back and wait till it fills up. Hope it helps

Im having the same issue if i select create a new game and invite my friend and then open it to the public, it doesnt seem to ever add anyone to the lobby. Checked all firewall and router settings and everythings set up right

same thing happened to me and my friend, we ended up convincing my cousin and one of our other friends to download the demo so we could have a full party

I am having the same problem. I set the privacy setting to public, but after 10 minutes not a single person joined.

I dont think the quick match selection, links to peoples premade public games.

Someone mentioned earlier if they set it up as private lobby then change it to public after the lobby is set up they have had some sucess. Ill try that out when im back on.

Same problem here (PC Version). I can host with friends just fine but the game refuses to fill the public slots even when the game is set to public. I had it have an outbreak of common sense once or twice but I cannot for the life of me work out how to make it work properly.

Having the same issue here (PC). I'm trying to play public matches with a friend and the list will not populate. Bump.

Yeah, I'm having the same issue. I have to join games and then quickly drop out if there isn't a spot for my friend. Which I really hate to have to do. =/ Kind of a flawed system.

And then, I toss out invites to all the people I just flaked out on and hope that two of them take interest.

Having the same problem, hopefully they will fix the public match system or have a party system for quick matches.
