Is there really an excuse for these graphics in 2012?

Just look at the movement of this water. This demo is supposed to be representative of the final game, why does it lack so much polish?

What part of the "7 year old decrepit console hardware" do you not understand?
Not to mention they still use outdated engine on top of that.

Also you do realize if they make a game that has a more than a dozen worlds and 40 000 lines of dialogue and it all has to be animated, they have to cut something somewhere...? I mean this is just plain and simple nitpicking for the sake of nitpicking.

They chose to continue with keeping the game streamlined for all consoles and only bother releasing it on the PC because you still demand it.

If you have the PC, play The Witcher 2.
It has more content than previous Mass Effects and the graphics are just on a whole other world.

P.S.
I love how The PLC completely forgets the point that an average PC today out performs a PS3 5:1 in raw processing and drawing power, and 7:1 for a 360.

Ugh, every time I see a PC elitist sprouting their vile sh*t on here I get a strong urge to punch something. :/
may i suggest hunting down these PC elitists and fulfilling that desire?

Uhm, alright? I never said anything about the PC being weaker or inferior to the consoles. What's your point?WaffleCrab wrote...

Frankly this is possibly not the greatest example.Qui-Gon-Jinn wrote...
Mario 64 Terrible Graphics, great game.
However on that note the graphics are perfectly fine. Sure the little 2D sprites are hilarious but overall its a palpable step up from ME2.

LOW-res textures spEcially in enemies... watch them before their bodies disappear in front of you in secodns
Absence of ragdoll physics in corpses in a 2012 game etc ........
