There is no excuse for half assed ports

They should design for the pc first not the other way around

wow really?

how many gaming pcs sell in stores compared to an xbox or ps3? because i think that says alot as to why the pc gets a port. and like i said before some people cant afford a gaming pc and heck some people have real lives they do in fact keep track of

PC gets a port because it's easier to design a game for a set peice of hardware like a console. Also please stop insinuating that PC gamers have no lives, it's petty.

pc gamers should stop insinuating that all console players are cod fanboys. console/pc arguments are stupid. then again this is bsn.

I suppose you could say... you've had enough of their snide insinuations.

I like that the graphics are not extremely demanding, because that way even PC-owners that cannot afford the very best can play the game without missing anything. After all, who has 2000 € for a top-notch gaming PC nowadays?!

ppl with no lives

A top notch pc costs about 1000$.

You can play games on low with 600 bucks INCLUDING THE OS.

yup

if you are a gamer you probably bought your console for like 400-500 not to mention the 60-70 dollar games

Most could afford it and since the 360 has little to no exclusives and the PS3 had no exclusives that interested me going PC was ideal. Most can afford it, you just need to save up

PC gaming just gives you more and it is worth it in the long run

It would be kinda nice if it pushed my system a little bit. I've had this computer for maybe 4 years or so and I've got everything maxed out and no matter how much is going on on-screen my fps never drops below 60, limited only by my v-sync.

(...praying for texture pack DLC)

edit: Is it even possible on these forums to talk about the PC version without bringing the console versions into it? Geez.

I would not mind these heated debates if at least half of either side knew what the hell they were talking about.

They would if ME1/2 even sold well on the PC.

True enough.

I built mine for 1400 and it's a beast.

Where did the extra 400 bucks go?

To Dell :(

Good customer support though.

I don't know what consoles you've seen that cost $400-500, or any games that cost around $70.

ME3 looks good.
It would look better if it wasn't made for an aged disposable computer-substitute, of course.

There's no reason not keep the upscaled precompressed textures around for later insertion on PC SKU. None.

thank you! so you as a pc gamer admit that the pc as a system isnt perfect?

Well, I am a PC gamer and I don't think PC is perfect. But you have to admit, that Mass Effect 3's graphics are not that good, even for a console. I know Mass Effect is not about graphics, but it helps a lot.

I think threads like this are important and should be allowed, even if the majority is just nitpicking. Don't see them as insults towards your favourite game, see them as a way to get better games.

Guys guys, please remember that all 12 people who's going to buy the PC version, wants Bioware to spend lots and lots of resources on optimizing the game for their oh-so-superior systems.. Don't EVER forget that.

Go back to yelling profane insults over xbox live.  The grownups are trying to discuss problems with the game on our superior platform.

We are not worthy......*pushes you off superior platform*....oh...was that a problem...lol

i personally don't buy PC games b/c i don't want to constantly upgrade my hardware every year just so i can play a new game, with console, i buy it once (unless it breaks down) and that's it, i don't need to buy a new one until the next gen, i'm not some hardcore gamer where my life revolves around it, i play games mostly casually unless it has a good story like ME, then i'm a little more "involved" but i'm not going to drop $600 for Mass Effect

i have a 360

played all the 3 halo's the rest are just milikng the series and i did not enjoy them

seriously they are making halo 4,5,and 6 now

I also do not like the gears series

other than those or maybe fable which i already played, the 360 is not worth it

I haven't upgraded my pc in 5 and a half years and I can run everything (at least on low settings).
