I've never played multiplayer games before, so I have no idea what sort of connection speed is required for them. Is there any info available on what internet speed you need to have to play ME3 multiplayer, in terms of kilo/megabytes/bits per second?

Multiplayer games don't require huge bandwidth. So in theory you can play the game on a dial-up. However, I'd recommend 512k broadband as a minimum. Make sure you have an upload speed that exceeds 15-20kb/s just to be on the safe side. Disable all applications that might interfere with your bandwidth such as updates for antivirus/windows (switch them to manual mode). That way you'll ensure that your multiplayer game is lag-free and you won't experience slowdowns/stuttering.
Hope that helps!

My experience is typically it will use, on average, 5KB/s or so each way for a modern multiplayer game. That is 0.04Mbit for the record
The biggest thing that will kill your multiplayer games is not so much downloading large files or browsing the web, but apps that make a lot of connections. Torrents, or other P2P applications really make home routers cringe and your ping and packet loss will be all over the place, so avoid those while playing like the plague (and disconnect all your other housemates too during game time

160kbit/160kbit (20/20 KB/s) up/download speed should set you for every multiplayer out there. The reason they dont go higher is because the server cant handle that much data. And also, this might sound funny, your LCD screen cant handle much more data.
5KB is def not enough though, well maybe for me3 smaller games.

Cool thanks! Shouldn't be a problem then.
I have 256kByte/2Mbit per second.

A lot of people recommend upgrading to at least 100 Mb/s to be able to play ME3MP reliably.

my 90M connection just isn't quite good enough. If only that level of service was provided in my neck of the woods. ![]()
