Why would you let an experience be ruined for you because of other's people's attitudes? It's just. . . Dumb.

EA only has itself to blame for this one. They're going the road pioneered by Ubisoft, and the number one reason ME3 will be pirated is not hard to guess. Let me help: the first letter is "O" and the next five are definitely not "Steam".

I'm a shameless PC Elitist.... what was "mediocre" about the demo?

I loved the combat... and said, as a PC Elitist is likely to... "Wow, love manipulating some complex combat controls with my keyboard... so much better than some controller!"

The graphics were good - and they'll always either provide immediately or release later PC enhancements.

I even felt that the leveling "trees" were a bit more complex than previous ME games... so I'm not sure if you're coming from a "roleplaying" angle.

What made this demo "mediocre?" - besides the fact that you're probably just trolling for the lulz.

None of this changes the fact that piracy is ruining developers and making PC an unviable platform.

Is consoles just immune to this scrutiny?  It only counts as piracy if it happens on the PC?  Because its on the consoles to... just as bad!

Warning wall of text... skip this post if you don't feel like reading!

Not sure what the arguing is about.... everyone and their grandmothers own a computer. It takes little to no skill to aim with a keyboard and mouse.. a chimp could be trained to do it. It takes little to no skill to have a nice spread out keyboard with one push buttons instead of having to combine on the fly... I am a gamer.. not a fanboy. I own a gaming PC, gaming laptop, wii, both modern handhelds, XBox360, PS3, a touchscreen tablet, and tons of old systems... I play games where I prefer to. A game like Mass Effect I will always prefer on my 360... I enjoy a large screen HDTV, no driver issues, using a controller, sitting on my couch if I'm going to be gaming for hours without having to sit at a desk like it's the 90's and early 2000's still. Sure I can hook both my laptop and desktop up to my HDTV, but it's not practical to do this on a regular basis.  Let's face it..consoles nowadays are PC's geared for gamers, not for chat and facebook.. you don't buy a console to update your blog or check your email... purely for gaming and all the extras are just bonus.

 FPS games I used to LOVE on the PC and only play them on the PC (Halo 1 changed this for campaign.. COD4 changed this for online competition). RPG, really it depended but nowadays, really the only worthy reason for me to buy a game on a PC (which usually means, unless it's exclusive.. I own it on both the PC and a console) is for community-created content. There is no competition on the PC anymore for most games like there is on XBox Live.. being able to play vs people on the other side of the world without lag, knowing no one is cheating nor going to accuse you of it (unless they are new to it), is nice. Everyone on equal hardware, no leg up on competition because of that.. it's nice. If I want the best graphics money can buy, I will put Avatar on Bluray into my PS3 and watch it. Take the Witcher for example... PC only game (for now), didn't work with a controller without using some sort of third party software to map it (which even at best didn't feel right)... great game.. but really I just couldn't wait to get through it since it was not comfortable at all sitting there for hours using a keyboard and mouse.. that was great in the 90's... it's 2012, PC gaming is old news. It's nice but let's be realistic... it's not dominant anymore. Sure you can upgrade graphics often.. I do usually every year at least, but when I have the option to play a game on multiple platforms... I very rarely will select PC unless it's to play the game again. I'm not a fanboy to any one platform, I go where it makes the most sense for me and thus why I own each. Also, it's a damn joke how legit gaming on a console is compared to PC. So many wallhackers, aimbotters, abusers of admin privileges, console command users, etc... on the PC... people editing files to get what they want.. it's just really casual imo and not for the hardcore. It used to be sure, not anymore. I still play games on the PC of course or else I wouldn't keep up to date on the hardware, but it is not my priority. The BEST thing about PC gaming though... is user created content. Take KOTOR 2 for example.. that game was highly expanded with the restoration project. But when I want to play seriously.. where as I truly feel it used to be on the PC, over the last several years it's migrated to the consoles. Take any major FPS game on multi-platforms... you won't find NEARLY the amount of competition on the PC these days as you will on XBox Live. PS3..ehhh it's there but the tiny controller feels a bit outdated to me (I need to hold my fingers akward so I don't hit R1 or L1 by accident when pressing R2 or L2).. Microsoft revolutionized gaming with XBox Live and the 360 controller, gotta give credit where credit is due.

If I do get ME3 for the PC, it will be after I have played it inside out on the 360 and only if there is justifiable user-created content. Otherwise, for me at least.. there is no point. But honestly... at the end of the day, it comes down to this: personal preference

I doubt everyone shares my views, but it's my preference and I speak from an unbiased opinion given I own each platform and regularly game on each. I don't owe Microsoft, Sony, Asus, Alienware, Sager, etc.. any fanboy loyalty. I go with what works best for me, after all it is my money to spend. But... I do "trust" each of those brands for gaming quality in general. Where I game though, will come down to wherever the heck I want to, I am not limited by platform.
