You PC elitists ever consider that Consoles rule your Master Race? It's very rare that a king is stronger than the best soldiers... but Consoles are King... they get almost everything while the PC is left flexing their muscles most of the time without adequate space to use them... because the Console kingdoms permit that much.

If PCs were really sure-thing better... PC-exclusives would be invested in more often.. and we'd see a lot more visually stunning games. But the fact is, no one really cares... because the PCs are the peasants (made strong by the constant field work) and the industry moves when King Consoles do... the rest is just "neat" by comparison.

I'm a pc gamer, have been for over 25 years, littlezack is right, this product is a luxury not a neccessity, and the people gaming companies should be aming at are the ones sitting on the fence, do I pirate or do I purchase, it's a waste of time aiming at the other two, they've already made up their minds to pirate/purchase.

The reason Consoles set the standard on the market is literally because kids buy them. Kids are the most influential consumers, and therefore are the greatest target for advertisements and companies. This is hardly new information. Kids being anyone younger than 29. Which is my personal standard ever since seeing a drunk 28 year old **** his pants in front of a cop, but that's another story.

Not exactly empirical, but it gets the point across:

  

Consoles are just expensive, glorified toys. Which is fine, imagine if people understood the value/convenience of PC gaming. A toy and tool in one? They'd price it and its games for a gagillion dollars.

What the PC "master race" don't understand is that the VAST majority of AAA quality games would simply not exist without the 100+ million dirty console peasants who don't have $2000 to spend on new hardware every 2-4 years. The PC user-base and the PC-gaming userbase are not the same thing.  It doesn't translate. The gaming-PC user base is just not there. So without console peasants which includes most of the pc-gaming populace not only could you not complain about poor optimization... the games would not even exist to be ****ed about.

If there was only PC-gaming what would the PC master race have to demonstrate their superiority... besides witcher, crisis, far cry, prey, staker,metro, wow, stor, spore, the sims? Compared to the list of console exclusives that's pretty ****ing bare.

Deus Ex 3 only managed 2 million and most of those sales were on console which is pretty ****ing disappointing for the most important PC franchise of 20 years which seemingly couldn't survive without it and Skyrim wouldn't have had 1/4 of the budget without the console user base.

PC gamers should welcome console gamers because if the next gen consoles don't sell then the funding and the games will dry up. Unless you consider facebook "pc gaming".

It's amazing the amount of people who don't know that Mass Effect was originally designed for the PC. It wasn't until Microsoft paid off Bioware that it became an Xbox exclusive, but only for a short time.

I'm trying to draw attention to the fact that these people have completely ridiculous expectations and that they are in the extreme minority. I don't think it's irrational that some people spend $500 a year upgrading tech.

I don't care if they put the stupid thing on platform first, but I do very much care if they don't even take the time to do a decent port over. Why must my spacebar do storm/jump/climb up and down/roll into cover? That's confusing and completely unnecessary since I have a keyboard. They don't even have do much more than give me the ability to map my actions to other keys. If they're going to port the game, they should at least make it a nice game for those of us on PC to play. I'd even settle for lesser graphics on my middle-of-the-road system if only they stopped treating my keyboard like it was a controller with only about 6 or 7 working buttons.

Ignorance like this is why gamers can't have nice things. Absolutely everything in this post is factually wrong, so I have decided that your opinion on PC gaming from this day forward does not count.because it's obvious that you don't even game on PC. I love posts like this because they're so full of irony. PC gamers are always complaining that their games are ruined by consoles, but console gamers never complain their games are ruined by PCs. Maybe consoles are in fact superior. I never have to worry that a game I'm playing will be altered in order to cater to a larger superior crowd of individuals. Maybe all PC gamers should just admit that PCs are poor imitations of the superior console experience and go out and buy a Wii.

Seriously though, PC gaming is an afterthought in the gaming world. The only reason I even built my gaming rig and own two G74s is to play MMOs and...acquire for free, games I already own on consoles. If you can't beat them join them.
