Okay, seriously. The Heavy Melee just isn't worth it when you do the Cost-Benefit.

More than half the time it misses the target. And when you do hit them it doesn't do any  real damage. Seriously, I was able to melee an assault Trooper to death in three regular melee hits but the heavy melee didn't even do the damage of a regular melee strike??? Please note, this wasn't a one time thing.

WTF?

In GoW3 multiplayer there's a weapon called the Sawed-Off shotgun. It's an extremely short-ranged weapon (<=10ft) and it takes a long time to reload, much like the Heavy melee. However that high cost is offset with the benefit of a one-shot, one-kill. The Heavy Melee's high cost isn't offset by high reward.

Please fix this. Or tell me how to properly implement heavy melee in multiplayer because it's not working for me.

What? Was this a bug? I can kill a regular enemy with one heavy melee.

Heavy melee saved my life more often than not when I played MP last night. But you really have to make sure you are lined up with your target before you unleash it. Yes it did save my life, but there were times where I swung and missed.

I have not had much issue with heavy Melee, It seems to hit its mark more often than not, when it misses I always know why. Things like I outright missed or the target was dead, never had a "WTF miss!" myself. Perhaps lag?

As for damage it kills Assualt troopers in one hit but will take a few on the shielded/heavy armor baddies.

That's weird. Sometimes I kill even shielded enemies with one flaming pimpslap and a few shots, and the "few shots" is only because I didn't spent too much points in passive powers. I guess if I did that, probably it would be one hit/one kill. And I love pimpslaping the Phantom. It's like telling that "female dog" who's the boss! :P

Maybe it's a glitch or lag (though the lag didn't seem to effect my sniping strafing bad guys). But it was really frustrating when I'd hit the guy dead on and his health bar dropped by a third.

**** please. The biotic slap of the Vanguard is a thing of beauty.
I mean all I do is roll, melee and Nova since Charge is useless with the 20 sec cooldown
I have been doing cloaked melee as an Infiltrator and is a lifesaver in tough situations

Same here, and most of the time I don't have trouble hitting the mark.

Heavy melee one shot anything so far for me when they is only health remaining. If you want heavy melee to lock on target you have to do it when your aim is directly on your target else it doesn't lock and the ennemy will walk away/run away.

Try knocking them back first with a powerful shot or a regular melee first, this basically assures that you wont miss your heavy attack.

Sometimes to save your life in a tight spot a snap-to heavy melee would be good. Every now and then when I'm charging at someone they dodge when I'm getting my blade out to stab them.

Multiplayer. Charge is way more useful with a 6 second cooldown ;)

9/10, Heavy Melee works for me. And when it doesn't, it's because I timed it wrong.

Anyone know if melee combos trigger the heavy melee? usually its 1,2, and 3rd is heavy animation

Wait? Didn't a dev say somewhere that heavy-melee attacks do sync?

I know I've missed a few attacks, mainly because I try electro pimp slapping a frozen target and it tips over before I hit it. Then I feel like I just made a fool of myself.

I don't want to sound... like bastard.

But I think it's good that it requires a bit of timing. You WILL learn to use it. Best way to do it, is not to get too close to the enemy, so your character will "lock" on the target. It works 8/10 tries for me.

I'm just glad it's not that stupid CoD-knife system where you can do some really fast move and enemy dies. It's just too easy.

I've gotten it to work like 2 times maybe? It's pretty hard to say how it works...

I haven't really had the missing problem, but I do agree that it doesn't kill as much as it should. I usually have to use another melee or finish them off with my gun. Heavy melee should be insta-kill(if you connect) on a tier 1 enemy, 2 hits on a tier 2 shielded.

I play as a Krogan and I do not agree with this. I have had more than one occasion where people are like, "Oh ****", after they see me Krogan charge and the bust laughing at the result of the dead target flying off.

I miss probably 2-3 out of ten times with the heavy melee and Its mostly my fault when it happens, once you get the hang of it, it gets pretty simple.
