here is a screen of a problem i am having. the light is acting as if it consumes everything. this does not occur on reflected light, only directly from the light source.
my specs are:
Pentium 4 2.4GHz
1GB RAM
GForce 7600 GS 512 MB

The whole system is below standard those Pentium 4's are stone aged and the RAM will be the old RAM so it'll be really slow.

Time to throw out the old and buy a new model methinks.

The shader code on these older cards doesn't seem to behave properly with newer games. Since there's no longer newer drivers for those cards, yeah, you're going to have to upgrade it. Unfortunately if you do, the Pentium 4 will just bottleneck it, so it's pretty much time for a new system there. Sorry.

I don't really know what else I can say. Just because one game worked it does not mean another game, 2 years older, will, even if they share two words in their title. I believe it is a somewhat newer version of the Unreal 3 engine from looking at the file formats involved, so it is either that newer code, or simply the sky shader doesn't like your graphics card. You may be lucky in the full version, but I would doubt it.

i suppose you're right, but some of my friends told me that there was the same problem with ME1, and it was fixed with later patches, thats why I decided to report this to the forums. maybe its not just my ****ty pc. :)

There might be a way to turn off bloom once the full game hits and some modding tools start coming out.
