RPG mode. Action mode lol. I wanted to try it in the demo, but then i realized i couldn't even choose my class. Maybe i will try the action mode in my 6th playthrough, after i played every othe class than soldier.(most boring class for me)
Action, Role Playing, Story mode…Which are you starting with?

why on earth would anyone choose Action mode, I find that it even being in the game is so insulting to the Mass Effect series.

I want to play on RPG mode but I can't decide that on the demo due to heavy reliance on auto responses and vast lack of dialogue content. So I honestly have no clue what story and RPG mode is even going to be like from that demo, hence can't make a clear and easy decision at this stage.
I just hope the RPG mode is actually good and if that turns out to be the case (since not shown in demo) then that is the mode I will pick.

I made the exact argument and people keep calling me a troll
There is such a thing as "class" and "Integrity"
Where is the story mode in Black Ops or other bland shooters?

I'd play action mode on like my double digit play throughs
as for the difference between Story and RPG, I just checked and so far it seems Story is casual and RPG is normal. so meh RPG it is, if it's too hard I'll bump it down

RPG.. Hate that the option is even there seems they are trying really hard to make a FPS. I love fps but there way better shooters out there then what me has to offer.

Action mode seems pointless - OP comments is reason why Bioware will stop making rpg's - and probably partner with Pfizer on dlc cross promotion.

i played all 3 classes in the demo and honestly theres nothing really different about the modes other than action mode not having dio trees.
so on my part im doing all 3 in the full game
There is a difference, action tends to be a bit more difficult, more enemies with strong health/better regen. For example the turrents become alot harder to get rid of. Roleplay is a nice balance (and is what I will definately be playing). Story is much much easier, I never even had my shields go down on story mode and the enemies are much easier to kill.

RPG, at first. After a couple of playthroughs (2 or 3, enough to set my own "canon"), I'll fiddle with Action mode.

RPG mode. No question about it. I won`t be touching the Action-mode. This doesn`t mean I don`t like action games, though.

I figure RP is the only way to go for me. For those that hate shooting but want to see the story I wouldn't be surprised by Story Mode.
I might do action mode one time for the novelty of it but it will be a long time ....

Role Playing Mode is the only mode I will ever play. As that is what this game is supposed to be at it's core.

RPG mode for me,as-unfortunatly- I like to exploring my surroundings and finding new things.
I like making my own dialouge choices rather than automated reponses.
It won't feel like mass effecct if I can't lose myself in its unusual settings and situations.Which may not be a good thing.

Story mode has, no doubt been added for causual gamers that only want the story and not the experience of 'being' Shepard.
Action mode will be Bioware trying to make ME appeal to the COD fans amd the shoot anything that moves types, who don't care about story or experience.
If I wanted a full on shooter I'd stck to Gears or COD. Mass Effect is a game that has to be 'lived' to enjoy it.

I seriously doubt there's much difference between them. All 3 sports auto dialog, super easy combat and whatever else I missed.

This is a role-playing game so I'm going to do the RPG mode.

RPG as always, I gave the story mode a try but it takes away too much control from the player, avoided action mode as that one seemed pretty obvious to me.

RPG mode. Having the option seems a little silly to me. The third and conclusive game in an entirely story driven series seems like an odd place to adjust the formula.
Not that it matters of course, it gives you the choice and makes no difference how others choose to play it. Just seems a peculiar addition.
