Here is just a list of the problems I have encountered, but first some specs
i5 2500k
asus p8z68-v pro mobo
ati 6870
6 Gb RAM DDR3 1333 MHZ
1 TB Western Digital.
Now onto business
I have been a loyal fan of Mass effect since the first game, but ever since the second one the quality on pc has taken a sharp decline in quality. I noticed in the demo the same low quality textures were used for character models (mipmap on highest setting in ati panel) like the last game, and to boot it looks like the animations have suffered as well. When Anderson is walking during the time you are with him he looks like a robot and it is unbearable to even watch. To top it there are even less graphics options to adjust and there is constant stuttering, and extremely low performance. I compared Mass effect 3 to ME2 and I used the exact same settings. I found that it looked almost the same except the 3rd one has a few more lighting effects like God rays. This should not bring my pc down to its knees at 30 fps in the outdoors when me2 ran at locked in 60 even during the most intense scenes. I could understand if it was a graphical leap, but sadly it is not. I am sad to say if these problems are not addressed I will be forced to cancel my preorder and abandon ship on what was once a magnificient series.

Hmm, this is a bit odd. I have a 6850 here with the 11.2 drivers and it seemed very smooth to me (windows 7 x64). What driver are you on?
Edit: I've turned off motion blur and anti-aliasing thinking about it (my preference). Maybe you could try that, and see if it helps.

A loyal fan that has never registered their games? Hmm
Firstly this isn't the place to talk about things you dislike there are plenty of forums for that.
As for the performance issues i managed to get a smooth enough framerate on high settings with a lesser set up. In the CCC/AMD vision whatever control center that they call it now what settings are you using for antialiasing? I guess the other settings too as all will give a blow to performance. There is a lot going on in the outdoors part of the demo so that's quite a bit to process especially if you are using all these settings for higher quality your framerate is going to suffer. Your GPU is a decent upper mid range card but it isn't going to deliver the same if you push it to do more and more.

just because you don't register doesn't mean you don't play em. I have both copies, and ME2 is sitting in origin right now. and I fixed it, for some reason the spherical harmonic lighting kept getting enabled. But that still doesn't fix the textures or robotic movement
