Definitely support.
Even if it not splitsceen, I'd like to be able to play the multiplayer portion of the game without being connected to the Xbox live server.

Other games still have it, the ones killing it are the ones that have opportunity to gain by its death.

in general, when a fan demand a feature, it"s something stupid or useless. But man that's the idea. The MP section of ME3, was for me a bad turn until i played. But origin and EA servers made it some night a nightmare. i can't even play with my friend.
i want an official patch for multiplayer off-line or hosting party without EA server (i'm fine doing it with no reward of any kind in the game, just for fun, and the long term life of the game... i still play kotor)
MP offline is i think the easiest thing to do, for what i understand EA only sync players and i read somewhere in the forum that API is quite simple.
( maybe a wrapper/emulator can be done ? like mooege for Diablo III, and it will not require any patch on the game)

I like that! It'll be fun to play multiplayer with others in the area.

Gladly updated.
@monsieur_wiseman, you bring a good argument to the table with being a convert on the mode only to still run into frustrations.
We don't have any way of knowing how they built the infrastructure of the game for all know they built it w/out taking split screen and local connectivity in mind because of the expected dependence on remote servers OR they might have already needed the functionality to test internally and it couple be a simpler process with minor alterations. Either way, it needs to happen.

Add me, but do spell my name right! (I realize I made this mistake.)
But yeah, I'm not against online multi-player, but I don't have Live and more than likely won't get it just for that. I saw some of the gameply on YT (from a PC) and it was awesome! I do have local MP games (for the 360), but they aren't shooters as those games are SP.
I could see how online play was unavailable during the pre-internet days, but no local multi-player despite having online capabilities? Interesting to say the least

Add me to the list, this feature should be in the game already.

Not everyone is able to play online. I wish there was a way for devs this generation to support both.
I support this. Nothing better than sitting next to your mate while you play! Sitting in a dark room with a headphone and mic isn't the same

Yeah, ME3 really suffers for not having this. BioWare, I shall forgive you for not having this on launch if you at least add it in a patch or something soon after the game's release. Why not have online AND local? Only more options.

Awesome! Done!
Yeah, at the end of the day, consumers are starting to get the short end of the stick in developer budget optimization. Online may be the dominant convenience, but the social experience still matters.
Thank you all for backing that up!

Put my name and Draco knights on it we need a plan to stop them EA (by earning spit screen we can stop the death of the multi player sever in ME3 that EA will no doubt after two years end)

Can't say it's dying when most the biggest titles (as of last year) support it.

Also worth noting is the fact that Silver players cannot use the multiplayer feature at all... at.. all.
Meanwhile, all PS3 and PC owners of Mass Effect 3 get this feature freely.

please sign me up for this, the problem with online only multiplayer is that people with poor internet connections (mobile broadband for instance) are unable to enjoy this new feature, judging from the ME wiki, a lot of the missions are "galaxy at war missions" which from what I gather means that they need to be played in Galaxy at war mode including several interesting ones for Aria (sorry if I am wrong, still sign me up)

Thanks for the posts,
My apologies if anyone feels this is inconsistent, I'm only adding names of people who have posted. I cannot add any 'spoken for' names just to increase the list.
Yeah, even to play the Multiplayer Mode 'Solo' requires being logged into EA / Origin. I highly disapprove of that aspect.
