I just stumbled across this (whilst searching for any plans on ME3 local MP), add me too.
Because I remember the "Halo Parties" in High School, and still do Diablo 2/Starcraft Lan games with friends. And I have Silver, so I will never get to play it otherwise. Not to mention I want to be able to pull this game out years from now and still be able to play the whole thing, and that includes MP.

Gladly!
Startin' to feel that everyone else has thrown in the towel now that they have the game.
But you're right, that's exactly what it should be about. Reliving the awesome Mass Effect content not just play it now and forget it forever.

Add me to that list. Lan and split screen would make MP playable for me. As it stands now, its a useless feature because I will not get a gold account for xbox again any time in the near future.

Add me as well, I would love to be able to play it offline with loved ones sitting down next to me.

Good idea, we need something like that, why would they require online to play MP.

Add my name to list! I miss the good old fashioned 2 or more friends sitting on the couch together kind of multi-player. Also it would be a good way of introducing the game to friends to don't have it, instead of just taking turns with the controllers which most people get bored with pretty fast.

Add my name to the list as well.
When I heard about Multiplayer, many of the articles talking about it made use of the words "Co-op" which is what is normally known as being able to play locally in split-screen rather than "Multiplayer" which is usually meaning playing online. I bought Mass Effect 3 hoping to play the MP/Co-Op that articles had suggested with my dad, but now I cannot and I cannot afford the membership for Xbox Live. Personally I felt saddened by this, as I'm missing out on a portion of the game that I was excited for and also unable to play it with my dad, who can only play games with me. I feel as if I was miss old this portion of the game, and would be grateful if they add in a split-screen mode.
Split-screen is always more fun than Multiplayer, I want to play with family and friends, not unknown people who have no real impact on my life. You lose out on the fun and friendly banter between friends by having only Multiplayer.

I would love to be able to play offline multiplayer. As others have already stated, servers get shut down, games get abandoned, and multiplayer sections become obsolete. Just try to play online sessions of Modern Warfare 2 or Halo 3... You cannot.
I do not want ME3's multiplayer to disappear completely. Other games incorporate an offline multiplayer as well to guarantee that the consumer can still play the multiplayer segments long after the online portion of the game is no longer functioning. Because of the effect of multiplayer on the single player component of ME3, this multiplayer has even more reasons to have an offline version. Yes, you can indeed beat ME3 single player without multiplayer, but as is debated elsewhere in the forums, it is impossible to see everything available in the ending without 51+ percent EMS.

Couch co-op is a dying breed, which is sad. Some of the best times in gaming have been with friends over. That's what Wii, Kinect, and Move have made their business on.
It wouldn't be too hard to issue a patch. Heck, it's not like XBL doesn't force one user to host anyway.

This is exactly what the co-op needs.
I have been dieing for a good ME3 LAN party with friends for too long now.

Add me to this list!!!
I totally support split-screen gameplay!
My brother and I always like to play co-op video-games together, so games like Borderlands, Gears of War, and Halo were a must have.
As much as I love Mass Effect I will probably not continue to play it much longer without being able to play it with my bro.
Split-screen co-op definitely adds a depth that you just can't get with online... there is no screaming obscenities at your friends and family and then smacking the controller out of their hand when they go against cover instead of reviving you... No moments when you have the obligatory fist bump after doing something totally epic.
Sometimes I just don't like dealing with leechers and people who are terrible at the game all day. Sometimes I just want to chill out and play with my family and friends.
Please and thanks Bioware!

Splitscreen would be a very welcome feature, but with some online contact to make sure the player is rewarded as if it was an online match.
I am outright disgusted by the way the average online gaming community is heading. So much anger, so much hate, and barely any patience. I prefer to play with friends and family for that reason.
Add my name to the list too, however little it matters.

I support this thread with all my heart.
I have over 6 real-life friends who I play this game with. LAN Parties are not the same if we have to have internet connection on all our comps and play via EA's dodgy servers.

They'll never add local MP support. EA and other big companies want to control everything these days. It's a form of DRM as well as planned obsolescence. EA will turn those servers off soon like they always do and force you to buy the next game. They don't want people to have local MP or dedicated servers like we had in the past or else we might play the same game for 5 years and never upgrade.
