I thought the demo was actually great...No really. I'm starting to think if I should even come here anymore because I know that what I played was good, and I want this game still. Does everyone really think the demo was THAT BAD? Or is it just silly nitpicking?

Some is nitpicking. Some is legitimate. It's not perfect.

People are passionate. The worst is it means people wanted it to be better. Better being somewhat ephemeral and subjective, so there are varying ideas as to what that means.

I think the potential is there but the execution is lazy and haphazard either because Bioware doesn't have the chops to handle a multiplatform simultaneous release or because of consoles (the 360) limiting a game's performance. And I'm not talking about graphics.

When something feels this slapped together and a company wants to charge me full price, I tend to let the negativity flow.

It's been this way since Baldur's Gate II, if some of the old timers are to believed.

You shouldn't worry about the trolls, because the trolls are gonna be here no matter what. They're trolls. That's what they do.

But the people who actually, legitimately have a problem with the game are still talking about it. They may actually mean it when they say "PRE-ORDER CANCELLED!" but they still care on some elemental level, otherwise they wouldn't be here. It's when no one complains at all that BioWare should be terrified.

And you have to rely on your internal barometer on such things anyway. You think you played a great demo? So you did, and thus, you've already won. Because you played a great demo. And they didn't.

Other than that, stick to topics that won't attract the contentious like poo draws flies and ignore the ones who really annoy you. You'll be fine.

Haha. I remember that one guy that created an entire thread just to complain about the order of the three campaign modes that were presented on the menu screen. He was upset because RPG mode was under action mode.

Yeah there were cheesy lines, but they made me chuckle...In a good way.

Nothing? I didn't say it was wrong to complain. I'm just astounded because I really enjoyed the demo. It just feels like I'm the only one who enjoyed it.

You are not the only one that enjoyed it.  Negative Nancies are always louder.
