No, if something truly makes you not like it, you leave it.  There is no point to be upset with severe changes or minor problems and still keep your purchase.  The biggest deciding power for anything is money, take it away from Bioware, not drone about it.

I'm not a BioDrone but I love Mass Effect. I enjoyed the story of Dragon Age: Origins but hated the "combat". Combat improvements in DA2 but the setting and story sucked. I still played them and it entertained me enough to validate my purchases (bought both months after they came out for $30-40). I also really enjoy SWTOR because I have a good guild to run flashpoints and operations with now that I've hit level 50. So as a developer, they make games I love to play as a whole. They aren't all masterpieces but they can't ALL be games I'll love.

That being said, there's nothing wrong with not liking something. As I said above, if you want to leave feedback, please do. BioWare does listen. But coming in here and talking doom, "this game will fail", "you guys are fanboys for liking this", "worst gameplay I've ever seen", and getting in arguments with people who are excited about the game isn't productive. People seriously have nothing better to do than to come to a board of a game they hate and bash it all day long? Btw, if you want the worst gameplay ever, go pay $10 for a game called "Amy". Until you've played that, don't act like this demo is the worst thing you've ever played because we know you're exaggerating.

Also, to those who actually come in and make valid points and voice their concerns, feedback, and frustrations in a way that isn't reduced to name calling and "this game sucks, BioWare fire all your employees", I absolutely welcome you all. I'd be happy to debate those things with any of you in a calm fashion. We may never agree and that's fine. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and to like or not like (and buy or not buy) any GAME they want. But at the end of the day, that's all we're talking about here folks.

Pretty much this, the only reason for all the extreme posts is to troll and spam.

Polite constructive feedback on the other hand is a whole other matter.

I thought the demo was actually great...No really. I'm starting to think if I should even come here anymore because I know that what I played was good, and I want this game still. Does everyone really think the demo was THAT BAD? Or is it just silly nitpicking?

Amazing how the more we learn about this game the more pessimistic and unhappy the forum becomes. I'm noticing a trend here.

Since Bioware changed the series after ME1. ME1 and 2 (as were DA1 and 2) are so drastically different there was no other possible outcome but divided fanbase.

Now we have ME1-RPG-Story-"Realism"-fans vs. ME2-Action-Gameplaybeforelogic-fans. Fans who see signs of disturbance everywhere.

Bioware really should have thought about what sort of series they want to do. Gears, Halo, Uncharted and many other series have managed to be good, solid trilogies but Mass Effect and Dragon Age go all over the place. In reality I don't really expect games like Halo to be similiar but I really expected ME and DA to be.

I'm a gameplay-before-logic fan myself, but Bioware could have still done it a bit better.

Well, look at the bright side ! BioWare could've been another Westwood and yet they're holding on.

Nice post, except you're forgetting a lot of people seem to think that anyone who has somethign to say that isn't in favor of the current product being released by bioware is doing so with the intent of solely bein negative. This isn;t always the case, and ir certainly isn't when someone criticizes a new game when they've preordered just about everything else from that developer.

It IS nitpicking when one complains oh there are only red/blue/green for the iris color but I want orange! QQ. Now that's nitpicking. The demo does indeed has many flaws. People are making contructive criticisms in hopes that these flaws/bugs are brought to develeopers attention and hopefully they'll listen and address to the problem. If every human beings in this world have low standards and just as happy to live with whatever it come by, we would never have today's advanced technology and we'll never keep moving forward making advancement. Criticisms are necessary for even developers to evolve to improve on what is lacking. They're human beings afterall and human makes mistakes. No one is perfect.

I understand that POV as well. If I had concerns I'd voice them in a logical way too. I have a CE pre-ordered, bought ME1 after release, preordered ME2, preordered SWTOR, etc. My problem is not with the people who dissent and talk about not liking something, it's just the people that do so by name-calling the devs, other forum members, and generally just being hateful toward everything. It's not productive and it just leads to post after post of arguments and ultimately a closed thread. Criticism I can work with. Flaming and name-calling are tools people use when they can't form a logical reason for why they're raging.

Fair enough. I'm merely saying, as someone who's been following this developer and these games since ME1, and this is the first time I've really seen a demo and truly not liked what I saw. I've given my criticisms a few times as to why I think it's bad, and that's as far as I would take it. I do agree though, just complaining and cursing at the devs makes no sense and doesn't fix anything. Then again, nothing will get changed since the game is 3 weeks away from release.

The negativity to me would just drive me to want to spend less time talking in circles with people who like to extrapolate and use hyperbole and just spend more time enjoying the demo, getting more and more familiar with the game mechanics and planning out character builds.

I'm sure some people will dismiss your criticisms as trolling or whatever and that's unfortunate. I think if it's a well-articulated concern it can lead to a discussion, resolution, changes for future games if there's enough calm people to speak out on it, etc. I would definitely ask people who are fans of the series and BioWare though who have concerns though to wait and see with the retail full version of the game. Not because I think animations or something will suddenly be perfect or the writing is suddenly different but simply because the inclusion of MP in the demo made them cut a ton of SP features out to fit the 2GB limit for XBL. Weapon loadouts and customization, lots of dialogue cut out from the Sur'kesh mission to trim it and keep out spoilers, and more. I feel like once it's all sprawled out on 2-3 discs and you get the full experience, there will be a lot more there to sink your teeth into and hopefully alleviate some concerns. Maybe not, but it's hard to judge based solely off a truncated demo that was forced to be under 2GB including the MP portion IMO.

Yeah, it's just a demo! The final game will be perfect! Just like Dragon Age II!

Oh wait. DA2 wasn't perfect.
