 This is a Demo. Not a beta. This is your chance to show the game to your potential clientbase.

So why is the Demo not up to scratch with what you say the original game is? If a Demo is bug-filled, how do we know the real thing isn't aside from your assurances?

About nine times today, i've entered a multiplayer game and had ZERO abilities to use. ZERO. Not one. I can open up the HUD and use them, but that rather makes the game so bloody frustrating. An inability to drag them to the hotbar is also infuriating. WHY NOT?

Yes. you said it was fixed in the main game but i for one am having second thoughts about the game based on my impressions from the demonstration you have put out to us.

Does this happen every game or is it a once off thing.

It is hardly an infrequent event. I would say every other game i am lacking at least one ability, if not all

Same issue in MP as in SP, trying to replace your powers crashes the client. Same problem as ME2, copy pasta much?

I have this issue on two of my characters in MP. Seems once the character gets affected it stays that way. My engineer got hit a few days ago and is still bugged now. Infiltrator got bugged today...le sigh.

I've had this problem a few times now.
Interestingly enough so far it only happened with my human adept and my krogan soldier.
Switching to another character for one round *sometimes* fixes the problem, but it's still very annoying.
I hope the good people from QA already fixed this bug for the release version.

I usually have just been restarting and after that the next time I play my hotbar is full of my abilities. Although it does suck pretty badly when you are getting ready to play an adept and find that the only move you can easily do is throw.

Sounds like I'm suffering from the same problem.

It's happened to two of my characters so far.

This happened when I fist unlocked the Quarian engineer and proceeded to use it.

Now though, the skillbar loads up correctly.

I ran into the same issue after unlocking my first new character, the female infiltrator I think.

I just had a similar issue.
Was playing on my human female vanguard and only had shockwave on my bar, nor biotic charge.

Just had it happen on 3 different characters, Adept, Vanguard and my Engineer. Not sure whats causing it exactly but it is highly annoying since I can't find a way to link the abilities to the hotbar.

This has happened to me once, and to at least three other people I've played with. Nasty-ass bug.

So the fix is not to change your character in the lobby. If you want to change, exit the lobby and then re-enter the game after changing.

This one needs to be stickied somewhere.

This sounds logical to me but do you have any proof or dev say so on this? I'll pay more attention to what happens when I swap someone out, I can tell you it's not repeatable everytime that's for sure.

Ehh no more proof than trying it for myself. I was bugging, then I started exiting the lobby to switch characters and then the glitch stopped happening.

Adding my two cents: This happened earlier today when I switched from my Quarian Engineer to my Human Infiltrator. My Tactical cloak and Cryo blast disappeared, and I was left with my unleveled sticky grenade. My powers were still missing after we lost the match and restarted.

I had to exit the room and go back to the 'lobby'. It fixed itself after that.

So yeah.

It always happens if you decide to change character while inside a lobby. You need to exit the lobby, change characters and then join a lobby again.
