I don't see how people are pulling that off in multiplayer. I usually do a charge and punch/shoot and then charge again (3.7 second cooldown). The nova just makes your heath depleted after you do it.

That's why it's always best to charge right after Nova I find. You don't want to lose health since Medpacks are limited. Because it takes your barrier down, you want to put it back up as quickly as possible.

That is what I think too. I never really end up using nova though because my charge cooldown is so low.

the charge/nova combo shouldn't be looked to for a solution to every fight. For me I nova when I charge and find myself surrounded and I still have shields; then, it is a lifesaver, otherwise, it is asinine.

Here's my guide:

Biotic Charge   (6 points)

Nova   (3 points)

Incendiary Ammo  (3 points)

Cryo Ammo   (0)

Pull  (0)

Shockwave  (0)

Assault Mastery  (10)
Rank 4: [Power Dmg. incr. by 10% and Weap. Dmg. incr. by 5%]

Fitness  (0)

And then anything extra goes to Pull and Shockwave.

The reason why is that you want to lower those cooldowns as much as possible, but put more damage to your guns and powers. That way, you can use more, and kill more at the same time.

I max out charge. The 25% chance of no CD is brilliant. 1 point in Nova and cryo (this is for the SP).

Charge astutely. Nova then into whatever cover you can find. Charge somewhere where there is cover. CC is important, so use Liara's Singularity to stop people from shooting you. But charge is effective. I charged the Atlas basically as much as I could.

This is definitely my favorite combo, although lift grenade and warp on the sentinel is fun, but it is limited by the amount of grenades you have.

Let's just get this over with: Is there any combo better than the Biotic Charge/Nova?

Sure.Biotic Charge-Nova-Biotic Charge.

Ah, can't help you there. I got 2 more days to wait before I can get into that.

Try this:

Sprint on target, Nova then Charge, heavy melee and Nova ( you can continue the demolition if you want )

Unleash the Demon Combo

Adept singularity+warp bombing is also good but not as cool

This. Only, IMO, I think it's the best combination.

nope.

singularity + throw is what you want.

throw causes explosions and resets the cooldown on impact. warp just makes a slightly more damaging explosions and cooldown is alot longer.

1 month into the game nobody will be using warp anymore.

Eh, Warp still has some good stuff up it's sleeve. Useful as a debuffer and such.

debuff shmebuff.

id rather invest in throw and use three throws to take out health or protections rather then use warp strictly as a debuffer. unless warp + singularity causes noticable damage increase, id rather spam the hell out of throw every single time im not useing singularity.

have you tried dual throw, man? its rediculousely usefull. its a biotic combo all on its own. it whipes out the need to pull+throw, as in it OSOK in the same degree using only one cooldown. warp is just a debuff.

I have to agree on higher difficulty singularity+throw is better 'cos you can spam them and you may throw enemies off ledges:devil:

has anyone tried doing the reload trick? it seems like it can't be done anymore as i tried doing it with the eviscerator, after hearing the click pressing the melee button won't cancel out the animation. i may be wrong so it's worth to check it out.

I didn't knew you could do a fake Nova by cancelling it with a Roll

You can also fake nova i discovered, Sprint and heavy melee. Its hard to aim and doesnt do as much damage but its an aoe. I also like charge/shoot one roll heavy melee the next guy then nova is anyone else is around. All can be done in less than a second

Was wondering if anyone knows. If you take barrier as your bonus power will that be added to Novas power, assuming you have it on?

Nova -> Charge beats Charge -> Nova IMHO.

Problem with Charge -> Nova is that if you are getting in among a good cluster of enemies it leaves you standing there with your pants down for a few seconds. I prefer to charge in, have some fun with the shotgun until the cool down nearly pops and nova my remaining barrier if I have any and then charge again. Rinse, repeat until everything is dead.

As for best combo, Nova and charge is entertaining but the actual biotic detonation combos are ridiculously good this time around. In particular Warp -> Throw and Stasis -> Warp both land at long range and against shielded/barriered enemies. About the most satisfying thing is just plain throwing a grunt about to stomp an injured team mate and reviving said team mate.

Hmm... i've just unlocked the Drell Vanguard in MP, specced it for power damage and am finding that Pull + Charge is kinda phenomenal. The biotic explosion Charge causes on a target inflicted with Pull is very, very fun. An to think I was going to basically ignore Pull in SP.

The only combination better than Vanguard Biotic Charge+Nova is Vanguard Nova+Biotic Charge Image IPB
(smarter to do it that way so that you can get your shields back...)

Having the most success with my vanguard by keeping it very simple. Only carry a shotgun, charge in which replens shields to full, blast the head at point blank range, 1 or 2 more shotgun blasts to nearby enemies, charge is ready again before my shields were even down, charge out to distant enemy. I might pick up nova eventually, but I want my fitness, training, and charge all maxed out first.
