I had this problem too. I could play with random squad but not with my friends. Try this, it helped me: don't run the game. Just connect to Origin and join your firend's game. It should automatically start your game and you should be in your friend's team.

For me everything's fine if you join ur friend's game when he makes it instead of accepting invitation, I suggest you trying this until there's no other solution.

Same problem here, yesterday I played for about 1 hour with my friend and today asked to update my physx software (I already had latest version of physx but I don't know why it asked me), and now it can't even join my friends game. Any solutions?

Having the same issue here now.
Me and a friend spent 4-5 hours playing happily today, then he took a 10 min break to get some food, now we get the 'Unable to connect to friends game' message whenever we try it. Same thing when we got another friend to try hosting it.
Grrrrr.

Correction, the port 56536 has to be open, and not 59669 as i wrote earlier.
from the looks of it, it tries to initiate the connection on 56536 and 3659 and after that changes to another port (in my case that port was the 59669 which lead me to believe it used this port in the initial connection to)
Try opening port 56536 and 3659 on you pc firewall and redirect it to you IP in the router firewall.. that should do the trick.
Yeah opened ports on Router and Firewall, no change.
I also can't get anyone to join a public game that I create either. So probably just something wrong with that in general for me.
Also tried the joining a game by invitation only and letting that open the client (was the first thing we tried actually) and that didn't do anything either. :/

ame here... All solutions offered was tried to no avail. Judging from the thread and personal experience, could it be IP-related? Are anyone tried using proxies of close IP-range both for you and friend? I cant get my proxy server workig... Question to people who experiencing this after succesfull team-up before - were your IPs static or dynamic?

In my particular case we were playing fine then my mates router threw a wobbler while he was eating lunch disconnecting him from the net for a brief moment (A regular occurence) Im assuming this gave him a new IP when it reconnected. After this and since then we are unable to connect to each others games.

Same problem, but I can't even join a random quick match. The message "Connection to the game has been lost" pops up there. The "Unable to connect to friend's game" appears when connecting via invite. I've tried everything suggested above, apart from connecting directly to modem (My desktop is in another room, on another floor), and still no sign of the problems stopping.

I have tried everything they said here and it wont work.
And we can add another error, it says the game is full, its a public game, that I created, the interesting this is, there isnt anyone in there besides me
seriously wasnt there an alpha test of this? I wonder when its 3/6 and I get the game to play with my friends and the bugs persist.

This seems to be a serious problem. Needless to say yesterday it happened to me as well.
From day 1 on I could only connect to a private game of ONE of my friends, all the others' did not work. Restarted the game because of another anoying bug (no keybindings for skills) and it stopped working with his games as well.
I really hope Bioware is looking into this. There is already enough of an uproar concerning the day 1 DLC fiasco...

I also couldn't play any match with my friends, no matter who hosted it. And sometimes I got this wierd message: "game full", even though the host was sure there were open spots.

Please stop posting "Same here" and "Me too" on this thread. It only creates unnecessary reading material and lenghtens the thread so when an actual answer appears you'll have to check every page to find it.

If anyone is still having this wrong version issue, this works, however origin in-game has to be set to off. That means the "invite friends" button won't work but you can alt-tab out of the game and invite via origin outside the game - - - pasted from origin help:

Some users
are experiencing an error when they attempt to play ME3 on a PC. Even after
updaing to the most recent version of Origin before launching the game, a user
may experience this PC Compatibility error. We recommend following these steps:
Disable the Origin in-game overlay feature. To do this:
Click on the cogwheel icon and select "Settings".
Select the "In Game" tab.
Uncheck "Enable Origin in Game", then restart Origin.
If this does not resolve your issue, please uninstall and re-install Origin. Once it has been re-installed, an Origin update will install then you will be able to play the game
