I myself am in love (okay a little strong) with my Salarian Infiltrator. Am only level 13 atm but have Tactical Cloak maxed out for 90% Damage Bonus, Proximity Mine at Rank 1 (yet still it get's kills? pro.) and Energy Drain at rank 3 to strip the shields off some of the heavier foes so I don't waste shots. Am currently trying to max out Salarian Operative for even more damage buffs as i'm using the Viper and Phalanx.
Viper is still able to one shot the standard mooks if you headshot them (on Bronze atleast, any higher is suicide when i'm on my lonesome) so am able to take out 2/3 enemies in quick succession continually, tis so much fun. Though I kinda miss the continual head popping the Mantis offered.

Human Engineer
Combat Drone-Level 6
Incenerate-Level 3 now, going to 5
Overload-Level 2, going to 3
class Passive-Level 6
Fitness-Level 6
What I do remember is that my drone took the shields at 4, shock at 5, chain lightning at 6. For the passive, I increased weight capacity at 4 and lowered weapon weight at 6. I don't remember level 5 but it was the top option, I believe. I'm not into melee attacks so in Fitness, I always worked on my health/shields.
Edit: I carry a scoped level-3 Phaylnx(sp?) and a level-1 locust and my recharge speed is 173%. I never did like the laser on that pistol and now that it's gone and the firing speed is increased, it's a monster! The combat drone is really awesome and incapacitating 3 enemies and turning the Guardian around for easy shots to the back. Overload kills the shields of Combat Engineers, Nemesis and Centurians as well as the Phantoms barrier. Incinerate will bust a defenseless or covered goons as well as take out turrets. Human Engineers are brutal in MP.
