does the word "Charge-Heavy Melee" mean anything to you?

I didn't. Then again your looking at the guy wit 85-90% accuracy. I would rather shoot like a mofo and kill them up close than waste my time meleeing. I guess its a skill difference. The only time I've ever found myself using melee is the light attack to distract enemies if multiple ones rush me and I'm depserate in the middle of a reload. It happened once. And even then it didn't kill anyone, just served to give me a space of breathing room.Mand0l1n wrote...
I got a lot of use out of heavy melee with my adept. As I mentioned in a different topic all classes will have to engage in melee at some point as enemies will storm your position if you just sit back behind the same bit of cover. You can be quite aggresive with all the classes in me3. Liaras singularity provides instant backup crowd control and even on insanity most enemies have little to no protection so can be instantly cc'd if you run round a corner into them. Shotgun and smg are my favourite guns so far in me3 and I use them with all the classes. Heavy melee is excellent for finishing mooks off or staggering heavies in between shotgun blasts.
Oh noes a fancy finisher, mayber it's my pragmatic side talking but I would rather double tap them in the head.

Like Eric said, I also found heavy melee is very powerful after you upgrade the melee damage. I played through a melee focused infiltrator in the demo. after upgrading the 40% melee damage bonus for the cloak, I basically can one-hit kill Turret and Centurion after cloak using heavy melee.
What difficulty were you playing on?

Hadcore. I have 40% melee damage bonus from Cloak and another 30% melee damage bonus from Fitness. Though on Insanity, it's a little tricky. Most time I need get rid of their shield first.

Heavy melees are a risky move, but if you spend a lot of points upgrading your melee damage they can be deadly. They do take some getting used to, especially against fast moving enemies.
If you're having trouble lining up the move, make sure to have the enemy selected when you start the move, just like you would to target a power at an enemy. Under the hood this will lock the enemy down (stop their movement) and you should hit them.
I'm not quite sure if its lag or something, but I do find that 'should' should be in reaper air quotes whenever I try to heavy melee soon after a charge.

It's not useless, just situational. Sometimes it can be a good, cost-effective way to bash an enemy's ribcage in, while at other times the delay and vulnerability can do more harm to you than to the enemy. I can definitely see it being far less useful in upper difficulties, though. As a side note, Heavy Melee is a move that goes well with the Infiltrator class's Tactical Cloak, since you can approach an enemy unseen and just BAM! blow them away.

Adept one is pretty useful. Not only does it push people back but I love to throw them when they climb the stairs.
It also has a surprising amount of range for a melee attack, actually.

As a Krogan Soldier I melee just about everything in sight. Boost up the health and melee damage where available, and watch the brawl ensue. I've managed to take out tough enemies just by bashing them with the big guy and every time I get a melee kill he gets stronger. If I don't kill them with one hit I just use a trusty shotgun and they are as good as dead.
So heavy melee is great when used correctly.
