All my dragon age 1 and 2, as well as mass effect 1 and 2 purchases are on another profile. Due to a snafu with TOR preordering I had to make a new account, which is now my primary ea/origin account. Is there a way to merge this with my old account so all my registered games and content are unified?
Merge accounts?

Thirded. what's weird now i cant get into my old account under the name 'close2myheart', every time i try to log in on it, i kept going back to this one (d1ta). It all started when i pre-order me3 thru origins when i use my other e-mail address (I had NO IDEA that i should just stick to the one i use for the BSN) and then suddenly i got to make a new account. what's going on? at least i would like to access my old account back that has all my registered games there (me1, me2, DA:O and awakening, edit: and neverwinter series...)

@UFG & Gabe: were you guys able to open up your old account? I need to know whether I'm the only one that has this kind of problem or not.

This really would be welcome. It looks as if a whole lot of people are having the same issues. I have my old BSN account with all the DLC to DAO, DA2, ME and ME2... and then I have this one that is tied to Origin, swtor and will probably be tied to ME3. Shouldn't we be able to keep everything under one account?

Yeah just realized I bought ME3 on a new/other origin account that I had to make to play the new Alice game instead of this one which I've been using since NWN 1..
I've looked around and have found a lot of conflicting info about how or if you can merge accounts.

Same here, I hope someone can sort this out. I'll make my situation clear anyway.
My Bioware account was made when Dragon Age Origins came out, using a university email address. All of my DA:O and Mass Effect 2 content is registered to this account.
Now that I've left university, I can't use this email address, so I tried to update it. Because this can only be done through EA's website, I went there to update from the defunct address that I cannot access to my current email. However, I already have an EA account tied to this current email (from participating in the Old Republic beta, or perhaps something earlier that I can't remember).
The consequence is that when I try to update the email of my bioware account, EA says that an account, quite rightly, is already tied to my current address that I am trying to update to. As a result all my old DLC is tied to an email address that I can no longer use, and I have a second Bioware account under the new email but with no DLC in it.
Whilst I can still play DAO and ME2, I'm uneasy about having something attached to a defunct email. In preparation for ME3 I was thinking about getting the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC, but email confirmation, important documentation and who knows what else will then presumably go to the old account. I've already got accounts for goodness knows how many gaming services, so I'd rather have everything to do with EA/Bioware tied up into one.
I hope that made sense, I wrote all that down partly to try and understand the whole mess myself. Please could someone respond to our queries? None of us like to feel that our rightfully purchased DLC could accidentally vanish because of what is essentially an administrative issue.
Many thanks in advance.

Also in the same boat. Origin Live Help says they can't do it, Origin Dev on the Origin Forums say they will... not sure what's going on.
Holding off on buying ME3 until this is resolved. =/

I had this problem for over a year and no one could help me. eventually i was forced to close one account and I lost tons of stuff. The fact this this isn't easier to do is a joke, and now they've taken away our ability to change our own email addresses. This place has been plummeting since EA took over! Origins is the biggest load of junk on the internets!

I have similar problems. I have an old Bioware-identity, some kind of social-forum identity, an EA- master-id and an Origin-id.
Basically I have one huge convulted mess of games & game-additional content registered here and there, with different account-names and email-adresses. Things were so simple back inte day, but since then there has been so many changes that I have completely lost track of all my Id:s.
I would appreciate an e-mail...

Same. I have my PSN account tied to a different PSN account(A friends) Is there any way to remove this account from his account and add it to mine?

Same issue here. I have all my DA:O, ME2 and DA2 content on this account and my ME3 purchase on a different account. Not even sure how it happened but it's pretty inconvenient.

Please seen new instructions added at http://social.biowar...ge/account-help on how to accomplish this. If it's still not clear or you have further questions please reply to this thread.

This seems like more of a headache than what it is worth. EA chat support says they can not help and that they don't do what you suggest in the thread.

I've spent half an hour with chat support trying to get my two accounts merged but the support guy alternated between telling me that an Origin account can be used to login on the bioware social network (which was not the issue) and telling me that account merging is against EA policy (even when i told them i had the logins and cd-keys to prove it)

Yeah, I've also spent 30 minutes speaking to someone on EA support chat that said that they cannot merge accounts. At first I had to link them to http://social.biowar...ge/account-help just to get them to listen to me, then the support guy said that the merging only applied to SW:TOR, and when I said that that wasn't correct, he insisted again that merging cannot be done. In the end he asked me if I could name all the DLC on my old account so that he could manually add them to my new account, but he also pointed out that he probably couldn't provide all DLC (since they "didn't have them")...
I just figured I should just wait until a proper merging of my accounts is possible. Typing out all the DLC I ever got and still having a useless old BSN account just felt like a poor alternative.

I'm in the same boat. Customer support says they can't add the game to my old account since it's new and they don't have extra codes for it, and they can't just move the code from my other account to my main one. Problem is most of my ME3 DLC's are tied to my main account, while the game is in the other one.
