Merge accounts?

Thank you for your interest in Electronic Arts and for taking the time to contact us about your EA account. I have received your request to have changes made to your current EA account. After careful investigation, I regret to inform you that I am unable to process the transfer due to discrepancies between the accounts. Please keep in mind, this decision was made in the best interest and safety of our customer's accounts.
No idea what these discrepancies are, or even if I'm "allowed" to know.

What did you provide as evidence it was you who owned both accounts?

Been struggling with basically the same problem since I foolishly tied my Origin account to an email different from my BSN. Basically, over the email one advisor from EA support told me that transferring registered items between accounts was impossible, but it was possible for them to just add whatever I own to the Origin-tied account if I talk to live support and verify ownership of both accounts. Live chat with EA support gave me nothing apart from obviously copy-paste responses and refusal to help according to some "policies". Guess I'm stuck with two accounts: one with only ME2 and all the associated goodies, another with the rest of EA/Bioware/Origin games.
Same problem. Now I can't register my Mass Effect 3 on this account.
Who came up with this nonsense? Bah...

My all game in the origin account only the games dlc-s this account and some bioware point.

They use birthdates as confirmation and I don't know the birthdate that got assigned to the account that I want the content removed from. :/ I wish the could check my IP or something, because I can log into both EA accounts simultaneously from the same location.

Now my question is, would it be possible to move the DLC content on my other account to this account or if possible add them to this account? I don't feel like buying them again when I already have once... :/
If this is possible, then I would delete the other account and stick to the one I am posting on right now.

EA Live Support told me "as per our policy, its not possible", so there.

I see, though I found it strange they are unable to add BioWare DLC's now, when they helped me do the same thing with a DLC for Battlefield Bad Company 2 last year... :SVanDex wrote...

As far as I'm aware, something about the privacy policies has changed over the past year. Also, in Live Chat I spoke to Deepak from EA (who's quite a controversial figure on EA-related forums), while the other EA representative had told me over an email that it's indeed possible, but I have to be ready to confirm ownership of both accounts, so he'd told me to call or contact support over Live Chat.

Yeah, I had a long discussion with somebody called Saumya about the need to not have to buy the same thing twice as I had confirmed I am the owner of the 2 accounts. I also told him/her which DLC's I have bought and would like to be added, but all I got as answer was "Sorry we are not able to add DLC's, in this case you should buy them".VanDex wrote...

I don't see why it would not be possible to add DLC's that I already own except on another account. Sometimes policys just suck...

It still seriously annoys me that I had to spend more money to fix EA's mess, but it was the best solution for me. I simply was not about to waste more time trying to get EA to fix something that they screwed up in the first place, due to poor planning and implementation. The fact that EA still hasn't even come close to sorting this out shows little how they really care about their customer base. All they want is your money. Period.
Those of you getting poor support with EA's outsourced CSRs, I've been told that if you contact EA via phone during 9-5 CT (USA) that you should have a good chance of getting a US-based CSR. If you have TOR associated with one of the accounts that you want to "fiddle with," even then, they will likely not (be able to) help you.
Thanks again to Jesse Reid, who is fielding alot of the agnst with this situation. His efforts notwithstanding, EA, and unfortunately Bioware by association, has virtually guaranteed that I will never purchase another game. I don't spend my money on products that I can't get decent support for. It's just not worth it in the end...and there's plenty of other games, that is for sure.

The same day I got ME3 I accidently added BW Points to the wrong account, so I asked if I could have them transferred. I had to ask 4 game advisors by using the live chat before I could have them transferred. The 1st one got halfway, the points got removed from the account, but he/she was unable to add them to my other account and while I was waiting, I went away to the toilet for a minute or so and when I came back he had disconnected. The 2nd and 3th time I asked for the transfer I got a straight no, but the 4th time I got a clear yes to fulfill the transfer. So I'd say it depends on how well informed the GA is and how skillful they are... :/Grifid wrote...
Not only the dlc's, not movable the bioware points...No more dlc, i lost my bioware points. Good business, but not for me.

EDIT
Result, here's what he last said:
'I have processed the request for gamer tag transfer, the
persona transfer request will be reviewed and processed and you will
receive an email once the request has been processed. This should take
24-48 hours.'
So to save yourselves a lot of grief, don't speak about merging accounts, speak about moving gamertags. Means you will be left with a useless blank EA account but hey, it's their system.

Right I'm still talking to the guy, seemed initially that they were not going to merge the account. BUT if you speak specifically about moving your gamertag/PSN etc, then they are able to do that for you. I'll see how this goes

Hey Ayanna, what exactly is a gamer tag transfer?? I have one game one a seperate account and all my other games on a different one. Would that help me get all my games on either account?

I gave that a shot today. They said that they absolutely must have the registered birth date. :/Jesse.Reid wrote...
I've seen times where they ask for the online pass codes you've used for verification. You could try that.
Looks like I'm up crap creek without a paddle.
