I really miss not being able to holster your weapons. Like many here I liked to holster my gun and give my shep a good look around. I'd much rather have that option than a few extra combat moves. Which in my opinion were nothing special.

Can't holster your weapon in a combat zone? How immersion breaking.

At least put in the option to lower your weapon. I noticed that Liara and Garrus but do this when not in combat.

Why bring back a feature that nobody ever used?

Just because you never used it doesn't mean it wasn't used.  Obviously, based on the collective reactions here and on every other forum on the internet, it was used a lot.

Back on topic, if they implemented it back into the game, it'd only be possible on the PC version.  PS3's 256MB of RAM isn't enough due to all of the extra animations Bioware put in, be it combat rolls or heavy melee actions.  All of these animations had to be loaded at once, and it took up 4MB of RAM, which, when you're dealing with 256MB of RAM, is quite a lot of space.

It may be possible to enable on the 360 due to it having 512MB of RAM, but enabling it on the 360, if it was possible, would make the 360 version superior to the PS3 version, and there's no way that would fly.

PC's have plenty of RAM (I have 10GB of RAM personally) and in regards to games, PC's having an edge over the consoles isn't going to make anyone flip out.

I'll miss it, but it isn't a big deal for me.

I would like it back too.

It was a nice thing to have, I used it often every time no more enemies were present, when I was looking around the level.

Of course it is a minor feature, I won't be distressed if it was left out.

You get to flop around on the floor while being shot at instead...

If this means that Shepard is going to shove her gun into the face of everyone she talks to for about half of the game then it isn't such a minor feature after all because it really undermines the game as an RPG and Shepard as a serious character as it'll make her look asinine and really unprofessional.

Other then that I will also miss it for the reasons you've already listed and because it allowed me to take some nice screenshots. And yeah the memory issue, if that is indeed the real reason this was left out is a non issue on the PC.

I always loved the idea of folding weaponry implemented in ME. Sometimes I holstered/pulled my gun just to see how it folds.
Not to mention the nice touch of being done with the enemies and casually holster the gun.
It's not that big deal, but it was one of the features I liked in ME so far.

It increased FOV and freed the camera's movements so that you could take great screenshots.

For PC's maybe, not for Xbox.

It's a memory issue / console limitation. What are you willing to sacrifice to get weapon holstering back ?

I could care less. The combat areas seem to be a lot more fast paced and constantly throwing enemies in your face making the point of holstering my guns for a second pointless.

I used it all the time so your post is meaningless.

Guns will be automatically holstered in non-combat zones just like they were in ME2 and will be automatically out in firefights, where it kind of makes sense for Shepard to have his weapon drawn.

It's already been explained why this was left out, and I'm willing to bet (or at least, hoping in any case) that that has already been explained in this topic.

Yeah, this would be a very grateful implementation, and it'd make exploration better. Please consider it bioware, at least for PC users.
