didn't the devs already address this issue?
No. It isn't adressed until they put it back.

Id like to see the "holster" thing back. Remove the "barrel roll" if you must. Nobody in a tactical unit uses that crap anyway. Shep wouldnt either. He still has kit on his back and a barrel roll means taking the eyes from the enemy and performing arobics. You either rush or crawl. You dont do ninja crap.
Just got off the demo (SP only, screw MP) and I still find myself continually mashing select, trying to put my weapons away. COME ON BIOWARE, WE'RE WAITING!

Yes, because making Shep more agile in combat wasn't worth it. Who cares about quickly dodging grenades and missiles that would otherwise kill you?Farbautisonn wrote...

You guys do realize it's just a demo? Just because it's not in a demo doesn't mean it's not in the game.
It has been confirmed by Bioware that there is no option to holster your weapon when you want due to memory issues on consoles.
Shepard will holster his/her weapon only in specified moments (city hubs and so on).

I've actually seen men unzip their buddy in the field so that neither actually has to set down their weapon to releave themselves, that level of support shows exactly how unlikely it is for even a FNG to just shoulder their weapon in the field.

I realize the furvor here is kinda like that for removable helmets when ME2 first was revealed. I'd just like to say that aside from pure asthetics while wandering the cleared battlefield, there really doesn't seem a reason to holster the guns. I mean, it's not like we expect US soldiers to wander a just cleared battle zone with their rifles safely slung in a resting position over their shoulder. No, their held at near ready, since there is no skipping-dandy moment on a real field where someone would actually put away their weapon.

You guys need to stop with this argument; it's stupid and doesn't apply.

Dude, it's still another 2 weeks until ME3, what you want us to all crowd on the Talimancer forums until the release, or have a few pointless arguements on the inconsistency with reality in scifi game?
Logging into a board to post a reply that the current discussion is stupid, however, does seem a greater waste of time.
YOU WIN!!!
