I overall liked the demo. And because it IS a demo, I know there will be a lot of funk with it. The multiplayer is actually a lot of fun, and, maybe you may not agree with me, but I would like to see some future DLC maps for it.

From my analysists, these are thing I found wrong with the demo, and just pray they're not actually in the full game. I say that because Dragon Age 2, Battlefield 3, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Medal of Honor, have had the same issues in their BETAs/Demos. Kingdoms of Amalur has so few things that the BETA has, that is not in final release, which I thank goodness (great game so far).

-The walking animations are a disaster.
-There seemed to be little going on in the audio & also audio sounded very low.
-Getting shot while in cover. I am 100% positive no one is flanking.
-Button used to perform actions, rolling, cover, have gotten me nearly killed on numerous occasions.
-A lot of the texturing such as armor, water, and other surfaces look awful.

I hope it's an older build.

Now although I am worried that these things would make Mass Effect 3 very bad in its own addition, I am still 100% as excited for the actual release and still have my Collector's Edition reserved.

I think the action button got ported over from DA2's awesome button. I found myself rolling around more often than I liked, and on several occasions rolling right out into a hail of fire.

Getting shot in cover.

Two points.
a) The enemy AI is more accurate. The old standby of slightly poking out WILL get you shot in ME3. Noticed it on the 2nd level of the demo where if I crawled further into cover, was able to lessen shots taken at me.

B) If opponents are using Armor Piercing armor, they can actually punch through cover. (Take a look at the AP ammo skill)

I'm in full cover, and I can actually see the rounds going through the objects I'm taking cover in. It has to be fixed or it will definitely make things worst, and worst when playing on insanity difficulty.

Um..are they actually making holes in the object or are they just appearing through cover?

If it's the former, I'd assume it was working right...

Best bet would be to check with a dev or uf you could, capture it and put it up on youtube...

Yea, just appearing through. I actually finished them off, and looked around for any pierced areas. Just regular surface. Well I will after I come back from my college class and try and put it on youtube.

They were 'normal' in ME2. ME3 is a complete disaster. If you can't see that... I don't even..

Regarding the "very little happening in audio" comment: There is a setting in the audio options for "Dynamic Range". Try setting that to "Low" and let me know if it helps. It'll compress the mix, bringing up the quieter details and making the louder sounds less loud.

They're able to hit you just like you can hit them, they can aim for the tiny part of your head that's visible while in cover.

Meaning depending on your audio setup (tv, surround sound, headset, etc) will make a difference depending what setting you put it on?

Again, I am completely, 100% in cover, as in not a fallen pillar where some of my body can be exposed but assumed I cannot be hit, but as in being behind a wall or something of a larger but smaller scale, able to completely keep you from being exposed.

What is your point?

This is about ME3 walking animations being worse of the 3, and why it was allowed to get by, hopefully not into full version.

It does the same thing regardless of what setup you're on, but in general the "low" setting is for small speaker setups.  I find it's very dependant on personal preference though.

Ok, well I did this at night and was very tired, but from what I do remember, it sounded exactly the same. Will check after my class.

Well, the devs did say you can't just keep camping behind cover.

Yep, my first time I got into the red several times before learning that I had to keep moving. NOWHERE IS SAFE.

You know that old tip from Mass Effect 2? Cover is the best way to protect yourself from enemies?
On Insanity, you find out the best way to protect yourself from enemies is to shoot them. I don't see any harm in that being true for all difficulties.
I mean, it's not the first time a bug is used to keep players from cheesing through the game. In ME2, if you tried to use the tactical screen as a substitute for Adrenaline rush the game would just crash on you. Or at least, that's what happened to me.

Cover made you invincible in ME1 and ME2, that needed to change, especially since the top of Shep's head was poking out over low cover in both games. This was especially an issue in ME2 because the shooting was more accurate, and you could shoot the scalps off the enemy...but they couldn't shoot the scalp off of Shepard. Now they can, and I was very happy when I discovered my Shep getting her scalp shot off in the demo. It adds a ton more realism to the game.

As far as the rolling function, you just have to learn to be careful with it and fine-tune the way you move the thumbsticks. If you hit A too early to get into cover, you'll end up rolling. If you hit A while you have your thumbstick too far to one side or the other, you'll roll to the side. It's kind of annoying if you're running sideways/to an angle into cover, but you get used to it. I kind of wish they would have done a different function than tap A for both taking cover and rolling, but it's doable if you practice.

The crashing thing is just the game trying to process too many inputs at once, it wasn't something programmed into the game.

I just played it and loved it. Amazing fun!!!

Some things concern me, tough.

The game seems to have become discoloured. Or is greyish. Like the cinema "bleach bypass" technique. But it seemed a little exaggerated. It´s very grey and lifeless. It really stands out from the rest of the series. And not in a good way.

Cover should still be a little better. I know the goal is to make games more dynamic each time, but you shouldn´t push it. Improve AI and flanking, but not force you to move by also making cover like a Swiss cheese.

The voices. I hope those are just "stand ins" for Mordin and Wrex. Or Wrex´s voice just needs to get tweaked and made low again. Maybe the effect is missing, like in one scene on ME1. Because it´s very frustrating to have 2 characters with different voices already on the demo. (I think it was right by the end of the demo, but I´m not sure it wasn´t just wishful thinking.

Other than that, I´m expecting a fantastic game.
