Oh It's Obvious! Clearly the Normandy was using an advance cloaking system that only effects the Reapers, that's why Garrus was doing nothing but calibrations during ME2.

- Normandy too close to reapers for any stelath system to work at all
- reapers have too many different sensors
- reapers can visually see it
- IFF can't stop the reapers from positively identifying Normandy

  I asked a friend who read the books and she said they didn't want to get involved with the on coming war and don't ask me why they changed their minds in the 3rd book because I forgot to ask.

They weren't allowed to interfere directly. And neither could tehy fly all the way to Mt. Doom without being detected.

Nothing sudden about it unless some of ME1 and all of ME2 was a (largely successful) attempt at obfuscating stupidity.

I would sincerely enjoy that and hope that's what the actualy mini-game is like

- Reapers dont have human emotions - they dont care, they dont do vengeance, hold grudge, ...
- Reapers dont use current technology, they have their own, so stealth that works again current technology wont work against theirs, why would it, why would they use sensor technology that can be fooled that easily, not to mention that stealth didnt work against collectors, so why would it work against reapers?
- Reaper IFF is as was said before, just ID of a Dead/Missing reaper, I'm pretty sure that even stupid humans if they suddently hear from dead/missing person get a little suspicious, so imagine what would sentient machines with a hive mind and collective decision making in splits of nanoseconds do?

its the blood magic in front of templars thing all over again ... the lore sounds awesome, but then writing throws all the lore to a trash, because they would have to actually think about how to make awesome scenes to make sense ...
