So are we not getting some kind of choice maker like the way the PS3 had the comic?

Priestly's suggestion is surely better than blind optimism of the fans.

The only reason why ps3 Mass effect 2 got choice maker is because they didn't have ME1. There is no reason to have it for the third game. They may create a dlc for it later on liek they did for ME2 xbox, but I don't see that comic showing up on first day release for ME3.
Also, aimed at Chris, yOu cRaZy!!!

The first play through of a game is always the most important, y'know, when we might not actually know exactly what is coming. The majority of people don't have time to be sat around playing the same game repeatedly, yet the advice from Bioware is to purposely play a sub-par first run (revealing the whole game) just so we can experience the joys of coming across Grunt instead of some random Krogan. Or is this just another way of saying that the choices we carry over from ME1/ME2 are so insignificant and unimportant that we wont actually notice them unless we experience the game without them first.

1. I am making a franchise run through as it is, starting with Evolution, ending with Invasion (pretending that Deception never happened) on March 6th. This way, I am right in the story of my current Shepard. I want to see his story end first, so tat I have a continuous experience.
2. I can and will still import all my other saves later on (all sorts of moral alignments and decision combinations). So I'll see the changes one way or another.
3. If I really want to know how the game rewrites itself for new players, I might do a non-imported run through later but I only see that happening very far down the line.
4. Given the general tone in this thread, maybe by now it gets clear how little people care for the "jumping in" experience. Almost everyone really wants to see the story continue!!!
So yeah, silly Priestly is silly.

I'm gonna put this down to sleep deprivation due to playing too much ME3 before all of us, ahhh karma does exist after all.

I dunno. Was ME2 so much better because it was Shiala and not Generic Feros Colonist giving you the same quest? I guess so, but please don't try and play it off as some kind of amazing thing. You're talking about tailoring. My ME2 games that had the Fist cameo didn't really feel any more or less special than the ones without it. If you're implying that things will actually play out differently because of this I might be interested. If the couple trying to decide about the kid in ME1 show up and are like "Remember us? Let's have 5 lines of dialogue and then you never see us again and we have no impact on the story", then it's all just set dressing, isn't it?
I guess in that way it's like accessorizing. You can go out as plain-Jane/John Shepard, or you can put on your bling.
Maybe I'll take you up on that Mr. Priestly, maybe I will. I'll set my expectations to Zero and go from there.
And I don't want to hear any "nobody told you to get your expectations up" because unless I was taking crazy pills, this forum had that big "Vote for ME3 as Most Anticipated Game of 2012!" thread, and if that's not about raising expectations, I'll eat my hat.
I guess it could in a sense. Characters who only know of Shepard get replaced by characters who actually know him/her. It can help make the experience more fulfilling.

The Twitter Thread was unstickied for this???
An interesting suggestion, but I don't think it warranted this.
Will be starting with my import still, but I will be making a fresh character in ME3 later to compare the experience.

Yes yes, I hear you ranting at me "Priestly! You hadsome fool, of COURSE we are going to import our saved games into ME3. Why, I have 17 saves and I'm bringing each one. ME3 is all about finishing MY Mass Effect story, etc etc" and yeah I totally get that, but hear me out.
PS
I wont spoil myself with a game that is about some Sehp wannabe with pretty-model face.
