"In that plot where the krogan was just a random krogan in charge of a troop, now it is Grunt".Really? That horrible plot from the beta is still in the final game? Dammit, here I was hoping you guys would remove that. Oh well.

For the sake of BioWare, I hope you're wrong, but I feel the same way you do. If ME3 has degenerated to encounters with familiars as opposed to real outcomes, then it really has become more of an existential game than anything. I mean, seriously, are all the decisions I made just for the sake of seeing someone I know again?

If that's actually the case then the last thing a BioWare employee would/should be doing is telling people to playthrough without importing.  Because then everyone would realize just how much all the decisions DON'T matter.  Doubt I'll ever bother playing without importing, though (I don't see the point and have several different Shepards to choose from), so I'll likely never really know.

Only that you're assuming that their reasons for telling us to do that is because of the decisions and not the characters.

That's a good idea, Chris, but I'm still going to have to say no. Sorry. :(

Ya know, would the next step of this logic be

"Play the game first in Action mode, so you'll appreciate the RPG mode better on your second playthrough" ?

That's actually an interesting point made. I personally am really looking forward to seeing what ME1 decisions end up carrying over (and knowing that couple with the baby make a cameo is actually something I was curious about). I'm in a house with 4 people planning on playing through this game and all of us have made some different choices and have had different experiences so this is going to make watching the others play more interesting.

A default play through may be something I do later, but I've always liked not knowing about these differences until seeing videos like "Commander Shepard is a jerk" or watching my brother play through the game and noticing what things were different in ME2.

So Grunt's part is one that otherwise will be played by a random Krogan. It's like Shiala and Wrex in ME2. Same story, just a different face.

As wise men said you should not even 'suggest' in 21th century, because it is like being imperative in early 20th century.

Now I see how all the choices I made in my ME1 and ME2 playthroughs effect ME3. That guy who was just some guy in my first default game, is now a character I remember encountering in ME1

The problem there though... is that I would know this already.  I want it all to be a surprise^^

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this, but here it goes. My ME2 disc broke the same day I bought it (lol I know). I didn't have the cash to buy another one so I downloaded a pirate version from the net. Does anyone know if ME3 will be able to import my pirate ME2 save?

Impossible suggestion, Chris. Too many hours and too much waiting to not complete my story yet.

Yeah, you have a point, I agree with you, but now I know that dead Grunt gets replaced with some random dude. Why would I ever want that? :P

I'm going to have to think about this, I put a lot of effort into my renagon to see the results of good and bad choices, and especially since you mentioned the returning couple, it's those details that keep me glued to the game.

This, although I wasn't skepticle about ME 3 to begin with, so I'll more likely get more enjoyment out of it.
