This is a crazy idea, but DONT import your saves the first time through (minor spoiler)

Whats this all about, downplaying the point of playing the previous games or the fact that choices never mattered?

Now maybe I am reading too much into what you said or not enough and time will tell but this did not lower my concern, it in fact added a new concern to my list on top of the heavy amount of forced auto dialogue and lack of choices shown in demo two main concerns. Maybe all these concerns will be proven to be not as bad as currently think but only time will tell and I should not have read this thread because it added to my list of concerns instead of quelling the ones already had.
I'm a little weird like that I guess and maybe I am the only one who feels this way.

That goes against common logic for those who have played the previous games.

No, that is not the point Chris was attempting to communicate at all.

doing so means that I'm playing Bioware's Shepard not the Shepard I created with the options you gave me.
How I'm to properly roleplay a Shepard whose motivations are unknown to me? I don't know who that Shepard is.
And before anyone says its the same as the first game with background specific missions... it is not. In ME CC you could read a description of the events in Shepard's life prior to the game start. That info was vague enough, so you could decide how to react to:
- Earthborn -> the guy from the gangs
- Colonist -> another Mindoir survivor
- Spacer -> Shepard's mother comrade
In ME2 we didn't get a resume with Shepard decisions/actions in ME, so I doubt we will get it in ME3.
I rather play my "screwed up on purpose" ME2 save first....

It took me 6 playthroughs of ME1 to setup my "Canon" Shep and I didn't import her into ME2 until my 3rd playthrough.
My first ME1 playthrough was pretty flawed, I made a lot of mistakes on my character build (was just learning the game) I missed out on a several quests, some pretty important, because I was so excited I didn't pay enough attention to everything, etc. I knew I would make the same kind of mistakes in my first ME2 playthrough because I would be relearning a game and I would be too excited and probably miss out on stuff again, so I created a new Shep for my first ME2 playthrough in order to get the hang of the game and get a feel for it.
I already have a new Shep planned out for ME3 in order to do the same kind of first run through before importing my "real" Shepard.

Heck I could bearly get through the demo without wondering what my imported Shepard would be saying differently let alone an entre game

I get what you're trying to say, Chris, but... I can't. It took hundreds of hours to make all those saves...Nah, I'm pretty sure it's just chris.Even bioware staff troll on BSN D:
It's only light trolling, so it's cool.

I might then notice the changes in subsequent saves (got enough of those, with many variables, including dead squadmates etc.) and also get to continue my old playthroughs.
Of course, I´ll also make an all new game some time. Later. =)

Are you serious?
I might do a default run eventually but it's not going to be my first playthrough. I have a Shep for that.

Ok, one little spoiler as an illustration, but it is minor. Remember that couple in ME1 on the Citadel debating whether to have a child or not? If you import, they are in the game! If you don't, their role isn't there. These are the little details you pick up only when you know they weren't there the first time.
NOooo way in hell. I've just (like 10 minutes ago) finish ME1 again because I had forgotten about them in my last playthrough

I only have energy enough for one or two playthroughs (though I enjoy ME3 multiplayer far too much). I'm not wasting them on Bioware's default Shepard.

I'm taking it a step further. I'm playing the ACTION mode first, soldier, no dialog selection. Then I'll go back and import my shep and play the RPG mode. I want to see how dynamic this story will be. It'll be fun.
Besides, how often will you have this opportunity with a game??
