When do you unlock new characters (Asari Adept, Turian Soldier) in the ME3 multiplayer demo?

I've only unlocked one, a Krogan Soldier. And that was through the random boxes.

It is possible to get them in the 5k box as well, as I had a friend who did.

Indeed the randomness of it is also very frustrating, ive done 3 20k boxes, and about 7 5k boxes and still have not gotten a single character unlock. Just gotta keep trying I guess

He's lucky. I've gotten nothing but Human Male Engineers out of the 5k boxes.

And I'm an Infiltrator.

When you unlock them (I should say IF) you only get that race for a single class. So, you can unlock a Human male vanguard, a Krogan soldier, etc. but you wouldn't get the other Human males or Krogan unlocked. It's stupid.

Does it matter what class I'm playing? I'm trying to get a salarian infiltrator, so should I try playing a human infiltrator?

I got a drell vanguard btw.

Nope. It's as random as drunk, blindfolded target shooting.

Can u unlock them by going experience ? Im level 18 sentinal and haven't unlocked any new character and for level 19 I need 500,000 exp and lvl 20 im gonna need 1,00,000 seems odd that no unlocks through normal exp

His assumption was it was random within the limits of your class, which would be a bit more acceptable. If I only unlocked random things based on what I was using (Infil or Engineer races and weapons I have equipped) I might enjoy the unlock system. However, in it's present state, it sucks.

i think they are random from the boxes, but I have found a slight pattern.

I use the Sentinel and i was unlocking all the other classes but Sentinel. I also notices that I got a lot of Infiltrators. I switched my class to Infiltrator and did some box unlocking and low and behold I got my Sentinel. I think there is a pattern based on your class that you unlock the boxes. I think what it is that there are classes that are "paired". This is to allow for the rest of the classes to progress to higher levels while you are leveling.

This can lead to powerleveling by switching to your paired class and unlocking boxes
