I tend to see ammo/thermal clips as a game play concession kind of like biotics using powers constantly even though the lore states that they can only do so a couple of times a day - it's put in there to make the game play better and that's it.

Where does the lore state this? It's certainly not true in any of the comics. And I can only recall Revelation noting that use of biotics was tiring, not that their useage was so limited as to basically be pointless.

Though it's been a long time since I read any of the ME novels.

The codex about biotics says so. Though if you compare the biotics of the game to biotics in lore, well....

They get tired, yeah. But the biotic attacks in the game are a joke, with such lame use of their power they could go on forever.

But people say "I'm out of clips" currently in regards to guns we have now.  So if they said that, some uppity person who wants to nitpick at everything would still reach the same anal, nitpicky conclusion that they would make with ammo being said.

Well, contrary to popular belief they can run out of ammo. I guess its possible that Andersons ammo block already was running low when the reapers attacked, but then again, he might also refer to running out of thermal clips.

Well he fires his weapon after getting more thermal clips, so that's what it means. And I don't think a professional soldier would be carrying a weapon that isn't fully loaded especially with the threat of a reaper invasion happening very soon.

Op if it is really ammo then bioware needs to remove that stupid over heating sound since ammo is something you load a magazine or clip full of ammo into a gun

Bioware wishes they had the sales numbers of the gears games. Gears has some of the best squad interactions around because they act like a squad.

You do know what I mean. In the end, it's all the same. You pick them up and reload your gun with them, however you call it

yeah I do the only difference is ammo does not over heat your gun when you have none . but hey Bioware needs that stupid ass sound for the cry babies who love ME 1 so what ever .

Any one who has played the demo now know's that in the First mission anderson said that he was out of "Ammo" 
thermal clip's where like ammo anyway but its just so weird to change canon this late  what do you guys think

They already changed canon when they made thermal clips in ME 2.

There was no way to change it anymore than they already did. At least they finally manned up enough to call a Spade a Spade.
