Can the problem come from the fact that origin is not compatible with my w7 x64 home premium?

Lookin' forward for your help nice people...:crying:

Using the 295.51 beta drivers? If not, would be my first thing to try.

Mobile set there, can hit NV home page for others.

ATI Radeon HD6490 (with Win 7 x64 Home Premium and the processor is a I5 2.4GHz)

Edit: I'm going to give it a try on my former laptop and see if it works... ^_^

I think I fixed the problem. Actually I'm playing on a laptop (yea I know, bad idea :pinched: ) and it has both the Intel chipset and the AMD video card. I had to manually select the use of the video card so that it would use the highest settings and now it looks like it works just fine for me. Don't know if that helps you at all?

^ It goes away if you turn on Dynamic shadows and Spherical Harmonic Lighting + increased number of Cinematic Lights. But the frame on my crappy laptop then drops below 20 FPS, which sucks...

C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Origin Games\\Mass Effect 3 Demo\\Binaries

the config utility is here

I turned off
anti-aliasing
motion blur
antistropic filtering

then i could have all the lightings and shadows without the frame drop

PRECISELY my problem!

Turn up the lighting quality, the framerate drops to 17-18fps.  No longer playable.  Convo animations start noticeably exhibiting the slideshow effect, the video feeds in the council chamber start lagging badly behind the sound, etc.

Turn down the lighting quality, it runs 20-25fps.  Not fantastic, but certainly playable.  Except then every poorly-lit indoor area makes characters' faces look like Zoidberg just ran off wooping.

I wouldn't be complaining about it, except ME2 doesn't have this problem.  I checked the settings in the config utilities - everything that has an analogue across games is set identically.  Doesn't matter what I do - use beta drivers, disable Origin overlay, whatever - ME3 consistently runs 20-40% slower than ME2 at the same visual settings.  Hell, the main friggin' menu runs at 30fps in ME2, but can't seem to pass 17fps in ME3...

ME3 may look better, but it doesn't look 20-40% better.

There's another graphics problem - Artefacting (at least I call it that and it is still there even when every setting is cranked up to the max), let me give you an example:

The worst part is that it is everywhere. Literally everywhere you look. This pic just has a lot of it in one tight place.

All issues look like they are gone for me after doing this: making sure my video card settings were as high as possibl,  turning on dynamic shadows as well as spherical harmonic lighting, and increasing the number of Cinematic Lights (up to 3 for me) as you CottonBall adviced. And for the "Artefacting" issues, I saw a big difference when turning on the "shadow thingie"  I am French so my game interface is in French but I took a screencap and what I am talking about is the last line.

Edit: Maybe try this for the frame dropping low... http://social.biowar...4/index/9306109 I didn't see any difference on my end.
