This could be just me, but the graphics on the ps3 demo look abysmal.

no its not just you, the xbox version has more vivid colours n looks sharper. in some instances it looks like a downgrade from me2 ps3 version. I do hope bioware addresses this, the cutscenes look murkier, i thought it was my tv but after researching about other ppls playthrough on ps3 me3 demo it is the same 4 every1. this shouldnt be happening with such a great developer bioware. I hope they address this for the final game or ps3 users will feel so short changed after investing hours into me2 plus dlc

PC looks 10 times better. I didn't even bother downloading the PS3 version went straight to PC. Even in the PC version there is some horrible textures and some laughable mini husk sprites running sideways in the distance

You probably should check you black level settings in PS3 picture settings. I have PS3 but to be honest, there's zero point in testing it.

I have played Both Verisons of the demo (xbox and ps3) and you can totally see the difference in the graphics... Xbox looks slightly better in my opinion of the 2( for some reason i hate how the game looks compared to 2 and 1 when i imported my character looks from 2 to this using that code system)

Why are you playing an RPG for the graphics?

and mass effec 2 look better I TELL YOU WHY THEY WENT WHIT MORE OF A ACTION SHOOTER WISH IN TURN FORCE THEM TO GO UNDER 720P FOR PS3 AND XBOX 360 SO THE GAME DONT HAVE BAD FPS thes what i belive theres no way the 2 version can look better onlest they dont have the 720p res turn on for demo or we running under 720p something like 620 or 640

I downloaded and played both demos and I can't see any difference. That goes for the frame rate aswell.

That is good for you, but the key word here is "you" cant see a difference.

Digital Foundry and pretty much every big website with proper measurement tools find approximately 33% performance hit on the PS3 version compared to the 360 in the earth segment. And a lot of us see a huge difference just with our eyes.

Just because you cant notice it, doesnt mean that we dont, or that there is no difference. Bioware admitted it already anyway by saying they are "aware" of the issue...so there is no debate whether or not the PS3 version performs bad.

There is a certifiable discrepancy in frame rate between the two, however I haven't observed any difference in graphic quality. Both consoles usually have different strengths playing any specific game and so our perception more often than not condenses to personal taste.

If the frame-rate improves I'll be perfectly satisfied in areas of performance/appearance.

^^ The gfx indeed are pretty much the same. Nothing big enough to **** about, the 2 versions look the same. No complains there. Framerate however? Huge difference. And framerate is one of the most important things in order to be fully immersed in the ME world and have a smooth experience.

as was already said, visually speaking, both version are pretty much identical. a few cosmetic differences here and there are really a matter of personal preference. but in the name of god, set the frame rates straight on the PS3.

My PS3 demo looks better than my Mass Effect 2.

The outfits have more detail, there's more contrast between some colors, and the faces look better sculpted. Especially Anderson's.

But it's also to be noted that I play on a 32" 1080p Vizio HDTV. Different HDTVs have different picture types and settings.

Edit:

Played my demo again. Still looks better. Also checked the Resolution on the tv display. Says 720p HD.

Also I've been playing Mass Effect 2 PS3 Version all week and I would be able to tell if the graphics took a downgrade. Any who complain, I suggest you double check your TV settings and your PS3's settings along with your demo/game's settings.
