 I don't think i'm the only one in saying that the PC version should have a basic in-game chat feature.

I know that most of the time, the game is fast paced, but part of the fun in playing with my friends is being able to chat with them, and not having to listen to 12 year olds whine over the microphones. There are times in matches when you can talk, like if you've died in a round early and need to wait minutes before the next round, or in between matches while everyone is messing around with their character.

Please Bioware, don't overlook basic extra functionality that comes with pc gaming, and limit us to merely voice chat. Even if it can't be done right a release, a patch a little ways down the road could make a lot of us really happy.

I thought you could chat - at least I could swear I saw it mapped to a hotkey when I was looking at the controls yesterday. I could be wrong, though.

It's a keybinding to chat but nothing happens when you press "T".

Yeah pressing T in the lobby or in-game doesn't spawn any sort of chat box

Ah, gotcha. Sounds like it's bugged or taken out of demo, then.

right this was already covered with Text box add. double posting does not get actions faster a large amount of replies does.

Chat needs to happen, there needs to be a high level of cooperation in this game and its not there in the demo at all. Really annoying, I dont even know if others can hear me when I try to hit tab.

Can Bioware confirm if this was removed from the demo deliberately or is a bug or what please.

I would do like to know this too, just had a nice match with 2 peeps and i couldnt communicate with them (the **** i am getting a mic if i didnt even bother for bf3, where your ea overlords got dice to leave voip out entirely)

Yeah I thought there would be a lobby text chat box to say "ready up" or something, but there's nothing at all. The pc ver needs that for sure!

Yes chat box is needed i hate mic.
