How well did your Shepard translate from ME2 to ME3

So I tried the Mass Effect 3 demo last night and used my ME2 custom
Shepard's face code to see how well he carried over. Overall, I'm pretty
happy with how it turned out. The increase in detail really helped him
blend in with the rest of the game world since there were times in ME2
when my Shepard felt a little under-detailed when compared to the other
characters in the game. I will have to play around with the cheek and
brow settings just a bit since they look a bit off now, and I gave him
new hair since I didn't like how they changed the old hair I had for him
(formal spike... made it too fluffy) but I'm more or less keeping my
Shepard as he is for ME3.

So how did it turn out for you guys?


On a side note regarding character creation... Seriously Bioware? Would it
kill you to add a 360 degree rotation view? I really hate spending time
on my character only to find those 3 or 4 angles where his face
structure looks really funny because I couldn't see him from those
angles before. Heck, we don't even get to turn Shepard for full side
profile look in ME3 anymore. [smilie]../../../../images/forum/emoticons/angry.png[/smilie]

Mine did not translate very well :( I sadfaced. The new CC isn't very good now. Everything looks like it's made out of clay.

My face got completely messed up. Eyes+eyebrows and cheeks had to be remade...

I am guessing it will handle imports differently than it does old face codes.

John: It's Sheploo, so no problem
Virgine: Wrong..... Instead of my Sheppard I got default custom FemShep with blonde hair.
Sam: Wrong.... Instead of a Samuel L. Jackson like Sheppard i got some random black guy (I hope saying "black" isn't ofensive, at least in my country isn't but I know English speaking countries always have been punctilious with this.)
Kate: Perfectly accurate.

Yeah, mine didn't turn out well. And I wrote down a code for a face I made on the Xbox demo and tried it on my PC and it was completely different. And i'm positive it was the same code. But I read somewhere that some stuff was left out of the character creator in the demo. But I don't know if there is any truth to that.

Alot of stuff was cut out. You never know.

Mine actually translated pretty well. I even took the time to update with a few different details. He conveys emotions perfectly, he looks so much more alive.

So yeah, guess I'm one of the few MaleShep transfers that got it good.

I have no idea, the actual game isn't out yet.

But using the old codes for the demo? It turned out alright. A little pudgier in the face than she used to be, but she hasn't been on active duty in a couple of months, so, you know. :lol:

Do you mean using the sliders to match the code? Because I just copy and pasted. that'd be a lot of work messing with the sliders! lol

Anderson did mention Shepard was getting a little soft around the edges. :whistle:

Yes, I meant using the sliders. And its not that bad really, since you just got to remember that every spot on the slider has its own letter/number to identify it. I honestly find it easier to typing out the whole code. (Plus my shepard turns out better when I do it that way) But then again I'm on the PS3, and typing on a PS3 is pure hell. :pinched:

Mine didn't look good at all. The only thing that carried over was her freaking ears. Hopefully the import feature will fix that. And I really hope that have more hair styles for the females because some of those hair styles suck. Especially the buns.

I'm sorry but...me3 custom sheps look like they were made in the Sims 3 cas (create a sim)...

The Sims franchise is also owned by EA so maybe they just ripped the character creator from the sims. (Okay I'm not being serious about the last part. but still!)

I like your shepard! She did transfer nicely.

Mine didn't turn out drastically different like I may have made it sound. He just looks...sickly. lol :alien:

I managed to recreate him from scratch because he was an import.....90% accuracy or so...
