I don't mind playing with people older than I am, but it limits conversation, since we are pretty much a generation apart. I'm 17 years old and the guys I've played with I'm sure would rather play with someone older than a kid like me. With that said, is there anyone my age who participates on these forums? If so, let me know. Unfortunately for me, the RPG audience is almost strictly older people, leaving a bunch of lack of interest between us. People my age would rather be playing games like COD.. Leaving me pretty much a lone wolf /: . Well.. Let me know, thanks
Younger gamers?

Totally agree, but to an extent. When it comes to topics of conversation and stuff like that, there's not much common interest. It's not a big deal, but I'm sure everyone prefers to play with people their age that watched the same TV shows and stuff like that

21. If you don't screw me over I wont ruin the rest of the match for you. A team is only as good as those willing to make it work. Anyone else is a damn liability. Guys I play with let the weaker players die off quick if they don't catch on to what needs to be done. So far I see kids wasting rockets on Assault Troopers rather than on the Atlas. Or going head first into the blade of a Phantom.
This, so much of this. Hell, I seen some guy use a rocket close quarters on a single half dead Assault Trooper, his exuse, he had no ammo ... He was in melee distance and I later found out he had an ammo pack.

That said, there are plenty of stupid 24-year-olds. So yeah. I guess it's just kind of... a different sort of dumb.

I'm scared of the number 12.. I made the mistake of playing with a 12 year old (told me he was 14) for a month. For some reason he felt the need to lie to me and tell me he was max level and every single game I mentioned, and that he had a modded xbox.. Using "On my other account" as back up. I also had to witness him cursing at his mother.. quite disturbing. After a month, my tolerance for his conduct went away and I just erased him, and went the extra mile and paid $10 for a GT change. I doubt kids who are 12 have any interest in Mass Effect though, as it's story oriented, not a twitch shooter.
Maybe things are different now. But when I was 12 I was all over RPGs.

Pretty heavy stereotyping there pal. Of course, in many cases you are right and I would agree with you.
Guess I've been a bit of an exception there. I've always loved RPGs ever since I got into gaming. Heck, I ran guilds in MMOs back then and no one questioned my age. Kind of funny, I never told them my age due to the whole prejudice, but they were convinced I was somewhere in the 20-25 range most of the time.
Worked for me I guess.

I was too. I used to love Pokemon, Diablo, FF, Kingdom Hearts, Zelda, and other RPGs at that age.. But that was because despite my ADD (lol), I've always had an IQ slightly above average. So I enjoyed the story elements added to games. Normally, at that age, cutscenes are the enemy, while action, gore, and graphics are what matter most xD

Yeah, for me it's been FF, Xenogears, Pokemon, Chrono Trigger... lots and lots of Square and some Nintendo as well. Fire Emblem... Suikoden. Man, Japan used to be on top of my life. Also, Zelda. Geez. I still like these games and replay them often but I can't get into a lot of the newer Japanese games for some reason. /shrug Oh well.
I was the same way. A few select friends and I played games for their plots and characterization whilst the rest of our school laughed at us, lol.
