Initially I was gonna argue against the inclusion of Batarian or Geth characters in multiplayer. However, after thinking it through a bit I think it would be interesting if you could unlock them as a direct result of your Single player decisions.
The Geth's possible involvement in the fight against the reapers is still largely ambiguous. The Batarians though would probably require a great deal of sweet talking before they decide to throw their lot in with Humanity. So if you could convince them to help out their it would be a nice way to show that each modes benefit the other.
