Well, I managed to finally get to play the demo last night and found that It's a smooth transition from ME2 play to ME3. There's lots of changes but they are all implemented in such a way that there's a smooth transition from ME2 to ME3.
I had a blast with the areas on offer and can't wait to run through all the character and setting interactions for my 9 characters that have completed ME1 & 2.

The only thing that stood out as a little annoying is the way the cover system and sprinting coexist on the same key. In the Salarian homeworld mission you need to sprint a fair bit to prevent the shielding from being destroyed and because of all the room clutter I found that I was sticking to everything and rolling all over the place. I suppose I'll get used to it after a while but it gets really disorienting when you are sprinting towards an enemy then all of a sudden you are sticking to a desk or wall, then you hit the melee key to break free and start sprinting again but actually end up rolling in the opposite direction and stick to another wall on the side that the enemy is. All the while getting hammered by enemy fire.

That's the only thing that stood out for me. Can't wait for the 9th of March to come around, looking forward to taking down those Reaper machines.

Edit: Sorry, platform was PC.
