You have to seduce them. Then they will drop their barriers and are easy to kill

- Play off host and use overwhelming firepower
- Use non hitscan weapons to stagger her (personal preference is the Acolyte or Scorpion)
- Play a Shadow (do not attempt to duel the Phantom like I did yesterday...it looks amazing but invariably ends in a sync-kill)
- Armoured Compartments/missiles everywhere

Actually, a focused SS shadow can one-shot phantoms. You gotta hit them when the bubble isn't up.

AHi-> Cloak, Dark CHannel, wait.  Probably the easist way to deal with them. Can work with any DC user actaully. DC ignores the cheap bubble

Other methods: Run next to a friendly juggernaut and have them grab her.  Then shoot at her face.

Although it's possible to one shot a Phantom with a sniper it's pretty rare, and best achieved by using a Javelin and getting them while they're hiding.  In most cases there are more efficinet ways:

Asari Vanguard (Adept less so)

Stassis could have been designed for Phantoms.  Stassis followed by any weapon - Finish off with BC if you want.

Krogan Vanguard

BC followed straight away (don't delay) with a heavy Melee. Shotgun to the head if she's still breathing.

Scorpian

The scorpian will take down a Phantom but it takes a fair few shots. Fine if you're one on one, but with other enemies about it's a high risk strategy.

Falcon

Similar to the scorpian. Unfortuanely the Falcon is so poor agaisnt everything else you'll be loath to use it.

Shadow

Very high risk, but rewarding when it works.  Always strike from cloaked and get ready to dodge back if she doesn't go down from the first strike.

Krogan Warlord

Another high risk. Make sure you stagger her first, or catch her off guard before using the biotic hammer on her.  I've been instakilled mid swing, so be warned.

I find that Phantoms are only hard if you don't know where they are, or if you start a game without a strategy for dealing with them. (all IMHO)

Yeah, I should have clarified - Shadow Striking definitely works.  What does not work is running up to her and doing the light melee repeatedly.  I think I wanted to see if I could stagger her...no, that's a lie, I have no clue what I was doing.

Dark Channel's a good one, yeah.  I've just been playing around with the Awakened Collector and DC - DS combos just obliterate Phantoms.

Best bet is to lay down as much damage as possible, while trying to keep your distance. It's a pain when she cloaks, but if you look closely you can just about make her out. Then you use your boomstick.

How do you nail phantoms? they like big, beefy guys. They don't discriminate, but if given the option they will always go for the biggest guy around.
