Running/walking animation

The second seems to be inconsistent cover system, where I can be hit through a wall to my left, although still being shielded on my front. Whether this is because pillars or other structures don't shield while you are in cover or not or whether its some sort of oddity, I know being shot in cover is still realistic and fair, but I think the angles need to be addressed or at best looked into/confirmed.

Doesn't bother me but I wouldn't mind a fixer-upper.

I really hope you are right, I don't know how I'm going to tolerate staring at the terrible running/movement animation for the duration of the game...and shouldn't be hard fix...

I'm hoping too, or at least hoping that our comments have prompted work on a patch, if this is a patchable issue. What makes me hold out some hope is that I can't believe that Bioware would think that this looks good. However, I'm also worried since demos are usually very indicitive of the final product, and so far Bioware hasn't commented about this.

Mass Effect 3 Demo - Run Forrest, Run! HD
Is that how humans run on the 22nd Century? Are those things really human?

Meh...at least that's creative. Shepard runs like a kangaroo on steroids.

Isn't it ironic? Reapers are destroying civilization in front of their eyes, while Shepard and Anderson have a playdate, frolicking and jumping like circus clowns on the rooftops of Vancouver...

Oh and duck walking does not make anyone look menacing.
My rage is vented.
Until March 6.

They aren't going to change it. They aren't going to patch what's largely an aesthetic issue anymore than they are going to patch Kirahe's color because it's not the same as it was in ME1 and some people don't like it.

Anderson, yeah...
That video ^. Never seen it, don't care.
Nothing game breaking.

I think sprint should have a cooldown. Unlimited sprint will make things too easy. The running animation seems strange to me, almost too smooth or something. Shepard popping from cover and reloading is so fast it looks goofy.
Some of the animations lack fluidity.

It's more than an aesthetic issue when you're forced to stare at it the whole time. Comparing it to Kirahe doesn't make sense. That one definitely is an aesthetic decision, and a sensible one at that since Salarians age quickly. This is actual gameplay we're talking about here.

In this video, the run animation is different. Also, it's from parts that weren't in the demo (E3 footage).

If that is normal running speed that we get in the final game then I'll be happy. Shep moved much faster to me, not as much "water running".

I did watch the Squad Leader trailer and the animation was the same as the E3 demo (no arm flailing).

edit: Yeah you're right. The default run speed is much faster looking then the demo speed. Good to know.

what i don't get is what was wrong with the first two games running/walking animation that needed change.
Indeed, i just played one ME2 mission to compare, and the animation was a lot more natural in ME2.
There is a lot of great stuff in the demo, like the sound/ the music, the design and even the graphism looks better but the walk/run animations are just extremely bad. It really doesn't fit with the rest of the game which looks pretty good.

Pretty much this, the E3 presentation looked a little better though, could have been the demo for reals then ..I hope.
