I am really intrigued by this whole More Weight = More Cooldown concept. I think it makes sense and it adds a lot more potential flavor options to every class.

Now I havent had a chance to sit down and try anything yet, but who here as tried a ultra-light build. This means an insane recharge speed for all powers.

Ultra-light Adepts throwing enemies around like toys.

Ultra-light Infiltrator. Max out cloak (with the "use power while stealthed" perk) , max out melee damage buffs, and be a ninja with sticky grenade shurukens..

Ultra-light Vangaurd? Super Saiyan.

Ultra-light Engineer. Dance Puppets! Dance!

Ultra-light Sentinel is a walking, nigh bullet proof explosion. (I dunno, Maybe this isn't viable...)

Ultra-light Soldier...uhhhhh...

While these could be fun, I doubt they are optimal. And I think most of these would be VERY bad ideas against an Atlas.

When i'm a vanguard and I just use a pistol I am at 200% cooldown reduction, I don't think it can be any lower.

Last i've check you can't have no weapon in multiplayer. One of my friend said he got a warning message saying he could not do that.

I can't tell for sp obviously.

I have a sentinal power only build and its decent but its a must to have high power damage , recharge is not a problem , I use warp then grow for a biotech explosion , but for higher challenges its tough.

When I tried having no weapons on one of my characters the game said that I couldn't leave without equipping at least one. >_<

Oh, damn. See when I saw I COULD remove weapons I assumed I could actually go into battle that way.

Well, still, what kind of Ultra Light Weight Builds have you tried.

You can't do a no weapon build. However, a proper build with a Predator Pistol or Shuriken SMG will reduce cooldowns to the minimum, 200% cooldown reduction.

With the correct build you can always use a pistol with no weight penalty.

And no, using tech armor with a sentinel isn't really viable with this build as it depends on using overload every 2 seconds.

Vanguard can tank like no-one else with constant charges.

It really needs some balancing because playing as a sentinel with only a pistol, together with my vanguard friend (also only using pistol) is ridiculously overpowered. I can spam overload, disabling everything (neural shock), while my friend can spam charge and never die.

Does that work on higher-difficulties? I would hope tougher enemies would be able to resist Nueral Shock.

Or it can work like Stasis and any enemy who has been Stasis'd is more resistant to being Stasis'd again.

I just run my Asari Adept with a Phalanx pistol and no other guns. Gives me a 200% reduction in power recharge times, and the Phalanx is awesome gun and kills Cerberus dead.

I love my asari adept, that's a broken class with only a pistol.

I usually only use one weapon on my characters to get more cooldown. I don't really see why you wouldn't go for cooldowns. The system seems a little broken to me.

Krogan Soldier doesnt really need cooldowns. the only real power you would need cooldown for is Carnage. Fortification stays up, so you dont use it as much, and the other power is Inferno Grenades, and does not rely on cooldown.

I'm really liking how many different builds there are, and it makes sense why you have unlock each race/class combo by itself. Krogan Soldier is almost like a Vanguard, the way it focuses on melee and charging straight at the enemy, where a human soldier is pure suppression, rather than a berserker.

I'm liking a Mattock-only Vanguard, able to take down entire platoons of Cerberus baddies by myelf for the first 3 waves on Bronze... can barely survive with a whole squad on silver. >_>

I tried Ultra-light for my Krogan Soldier at level 16 and I chose almost all of the weight upgrades and it's ridiculous. The fully leveled Carnage power I'm using is insane, along with the fact that it recharges really fast.

I've been doing Salarian Infiltrator with only mantis--work wonderfully against atlas. Cloak => energy drain/proximity mine => mantis => reload => cloak ready. Fighting mano-a-mano with atlas is fun!
