What are you comparing those graphics with?
They'd be good 5 years ago

Crysis was released in 2007 and it has better graphics than Mass Effect 2/3.

It's also using a completely different engine. They are incomparable.

Besides, how many people could actually play Crysis at launch? Like 50 people (/hyperbole)?

Some of the low resolution textures irk me. I still can't tell what the supposed-to-be details are on the Alliance uniform Shepard wears at the beginning of the demo is. Are those sleeves rolled up or just some fluff that is part of the uniform?

I'm not seeing this mentioned very often but I really like they direction Bioware took lighting. To me good dynamic lighting is miles more important than hi res textures.

I also thought a lot of textures looked much better than ME2, and any improvement is good.

If you expect a Bethesda game to be released without at least one major bug, you will be horribly and continually disappointed.

At any rate, they're hardly known for their depth of characters or storytelling. The primary draw is the infinitely enormous world and exploration.

Still the truth, though. They look like arse.

I know, that is why I mentioned at the end about what can I expect from Bethesda...I've bought 4 of their games and only 2 ran on the "Barely acceptable" level...the other 2 were so chalked full of glitches it should have been condemed

Bioware needs to give HQ texture pack to PC (just as in DA2). Because when we use higher resolution settings we can see the "squares" in the texture.

I think the graphics are pretty good for a game of this kind. If I see a lot of skin, then I care a lot about about lighting, shadow, texture, tone, sweat drops, smoothness and realism of subtle movements, etc. If I see a lot of explosions and so forth, I'd care about particle effects and physics too. A lot of the time in ME 3 I don't even see exactly what's on the screen. My mind automatically reduces the detail level to paths, cover, enemies (enemy heads), interaction points, etc. I pay too much attention to the dialogue during cutscenes to notice minor graphical problems.

That, and I have played on a low-end PC for a long time and am not used to the awesome ultra graphics of BF3. I think the graphics is fine for people are comfortable with ME2 graphics.

I assume, if half the people here were shown a screencap of Dwarf Fortress, they would keel over dead.
...
Good plan! Heh heh heh.

I like the graphics; they're not Battlefield 3, but they're a step above Mass Effect 2, and ME2's were great.

I'm especially happy my Mobility Radeon HD 5650 can run it no problem!

Anyone who takes an attitude like that just has no idea what they have. I do agree though, I did miss the point, because I didnt read through page after page of complaints about something that no one complaining can change. It's a game, and there are countless others out there. If someone is going to complain about a game then why is said person playing that game?

Why you live if you are gonna complain about life... that argument doesn't work.
Complaining it's the only way to achieve a change in this topic, so...

Super_Shepard doesn't follow his/ her own advise. If Super_Shepard doesn't like to see others complaining why he/ she is spending time in this thread.

Back to the topic: Sadly I don't think there won't be any improvements regarding the graphics soon. Manily because this is a PC platform specific problem.

I thought the graphics were mediocre at best while actually playing. But if you take screenshots and look through them after you're done, they really look bad.

Graphics need polishing, animations are bad, anyone notice their feet ever so slightly float off the ground when going downhill? Or how about when you sprint with an AR how the only portion of the body that moves is the shoulders?

Yup... they have mass effect fields in their feet it seems. And yes, they have robotic legs and hips.

I don't care about graphics. I care about story line, gameplay, and if anything to do with graphics I care about facial animations because this is a game that concentrates a lot on character interactions.

I feel the demo facial animations were really stiff but I assume they will be better in the main game.

Complaining isn't going to change this topic. So Bioware is going to do a mass recall/cancelation of countless preorders and risk losing money because of some people giving out complaints? There are ways to contact Bioware devs DIRECTLY if you want change, but doing it here isn't for change. This is just a mass coming together of "I don't like this, you don't like this, let's waste forum space."

@No life on earth comment. You can see people running across the ground if you look but i agree that there should be more life around or at least signs that they were there
