I would pay $60+ for a major co-op DLC - based on the demo experience I had.

The length of say, Portal 2's co-op, with a mission structure, maybe detailing a side story in the ME universe.

Maybe even using characters from the previous games that don't make it into the final game as party members?

I don't know, that horde mode is the funnest MP i have ever played. I usually friggen hate multiplayer. But this was boss.

What do you guys think, got any ideas for a co-op dlc?

P.S. I also wouldn't mind if the co-op was also single player optional, with an AI companion and a slightly easier difficulty.

Co-op story missions would be fun... but i bet you Bioware are considering saving that idea for a ME MMO (depending on how SWTOR goes).

It would be awesome if we got some story-detailed coop missions that had you progressing through an entire level then hopping around an arena, something more akin to coop campaign. I don't know if anyone ever played Killzone 3's multiplayer, but the mode Warzone (I think) had cutscenes involving the top players being showed that set up and finished the levels, really fun stuff. I'd love to see some cutscenes or something added to the coop levels, like a mission briefing and exfiltration at least.

KOTOR is my favourite game, but I will never ever buy SWTOR - never. I refuse to consider games a "service", they are a product, that may or may not require updates.

They already have the achetecture for a coop dlc, so I really beg them not to make an MMO. Because, well, humans are dreadful, programmed characters are lovable :3

I would pay for bot support for the current co-op (I'd grumble, but I'd still buy it), so heck yes I would buy a mission set DLC for co-op if it had bot support as well.

Wouldn't pay anywhere near $60 for it.

that's a shame. SWTOR is actually pretty good. Oh and to the people saying Bioware will create a ME MMO please stop.

It makes no sense to sink hundreds of millions of $ into another MMO right after the release of one that has yet to prove itself. Again SWTOR is a really good game and I hope it does well, but trust me guys they wont do another MMO anytime soon. SWTOR is the only one they need for the time being

I'd love to see some co-op missions like in Splinter Cell Chaos Theory. Some of the best co-op I've ever played. Not just because the gameplay was good, which it was, but because the story was woven into the main campain in such a cleaver way.

THe gameplay looks fun, but I prefer meaty quests, rather then MMO quests.

Co-Op, like the Horde Mode, could provide some nice gameplay and ME-type elements, without going too "human heavy" like MMOs do. God I hate real human beings online sometimes.

If it's packed with full of GOOD MP ( levels, mission, customization, new skills, new playable character, races) contents, not really minding it.

Full price for dlc mission pack is heavy though.

I guess expansion would be a better term?

So no really new hard coding, just better design + story.

You know, this is actually a pretty brilliant idea. A mulitplayer story DLC would definitely bring from replay value. Though I doubt the concept will ever see the light of day.

$60.

Yeah, GET OUT.

It's bullsh*t like this "lol ill pay $500000 for a mappack!" which is why companies do crap like this.

Did I say map pack?

Excuse me, but games are 100 rrp where I live, so 60 dollars for an expansion is reasonable.

Also, I didn't say Map pack, I said Co-op Story Mission! Jeeeeeeeez

Also, FYI, expansions are big.

missing the point

Lair of the Shadow Broker, a DLC of a couple of hours is £6.80 on Xbox Live. So no, I will not pay a freaking £38/$60+ (PLUS! you would pay more than that!) for an expansion.

Also, FYI, expansions are big.

So's the ME3 demo. You know how much that was? £0.

Though I like the idea of additional expansion package

60 bucks for maps and new game mode, character, races sounds too much.
and if it's that high priced, not many would buy, and it would defeat the purpose of expansion release.

1. You said map packs, so what was your point?

2. I'm talking bigger then lair of the shadowbroker.

3. Yes, it is two maps, and its just horde mode. Amazingly fun and will be great in the full game, but I am talking in a coop camaign.

Lastly, you maybe not old enough to remember expansion packs? They were roughly half the cost of a full game for a chunk of new missions and a new storyline.

I am all for that, providing it is substantial and the assets they already have means dev costs would be low.

Thanks.

The "point" is that people are willing to shell out money for DLC, I simply used map packs as an example to illustrate my point. You of course, took this literally which is not what I intended.

2. I'm talking bigger then lair of the shadowbroker.

What, some hefty 15 hour campaign? You said a side story, when I think side story in the context of the ME-verse I think something LotSB-esque.

3. Yes, it is two maps, and its just horde mode. Amazingly fun and will be great in the full game, but I am talking in a coop camaign.

...

...

...the point I was making is saying expansions are big means f*ck all, it's not the size that counts, it's how you use it [the space], so to speak.

So to reiterate, I absolutely refuse to shell out thirty-eight freaking pounds just for a bloody expansion. That's how much you pay for entire games, hell in fact I don't think even Skyrim is that expensive.

A boss at the end would be... boss.

Multiplayer is cool, but I reckon there should be drops from enemies, mainly the strongest and meanest ones. Completing missions should also bag you an item, either the one time items or weapons/upgrades. Also, maybe so form of story.

... but no, I wouldn't pay $60 for an expansion pack, unless it was MASSIVE. I'd be paying $20 more than the game itself XD. In all honesty, DLC should be free. Show your appreciation for the players that support your game. Don't do it for the money.

I like this idea - the multiplayer has been an absoloute blast so far.

The idea of running a side story of an elite squad with a little more story behind their missions is intriguing.

I'd be prepared to fork out $40 or so - depending on size and what it includes.

Your initiative will be punished. Not now, maybe not even within ME 3. But with ME 4 it'll come. Standard edition for $100, full uncrippled edition for $250 plus monthly add-ons $60 each. Your tone might change by then....

1. What is wrong with DLC exactly? It's more content for a price and it *shouldn't* have an effect on the original experience if it is good. Whats the problem with more content delivered faster then a whole new game?

2. I didn't realize I had to read your mind on what a side stories length could be. But then again, maybe I shouldn't expect people to read mine.

Imagine a long campaign that followed the british dude in the reveal trailer :3

3. Wait for it to go on special then. My point is merely I would pay slightly more then half of ME3's price to play a a significant co-op expansion.
