Emotes!

Some simple emotes like "Cover me!", "Follow me!", "Fall back", "You take the point" would be very useful despite the lack of communication in-game. Also not many people have a mic but simple emotes like those would make team communication so much better.

When a new enemy is on the field, at least one character will shout it out ("PHANTOM!"). When someone starts hacking or whatever, they'll shout, "cover me!"

Little emotes like that would be handy, yes, but the final version will have text chat, too.

I'd been thinking this same exact thing! Personally, I think it would be really fun to do, or simply have a taunt or something that could be class/species specific. Like the air-quotes expression xD

That would be useful, and more authentic.

Though lack of radar making game way too easy was well thought out design I guess,
Maybe adding spot ability as skill would be interesting, not spammable and obvious like bf or cod mw.

1. Go buy a mic.
2. Cheez is right... there are "emotes" for certain things if you listen.
3. Play with people with mics... it makes it a lot easier in the later waves.

there is a chat option in game by pressing T from what the options menu says but its not in the demo
