My asari adept's stasis cooldown lines up almost perfectly with the Widow's reload time. They are a match made in heaven.

I don't know about you guys but I have a Widow III (that's right, I got it 3 freaking times) and I'm not even using it. If only I have a Revenant for my Krogan Soldier......but noooooo....kept getting phalax and mattock, not even a goddamn claymore....

Almost all Widow users I ever played with always steal my kill anyway. Freaking hate this thing.

I love you.  I hate the scrubs on these forums acting like Widow is great on Gold.  It's an easy way to know who not to team with once release hits.

Salarian infiltrator

Cloak -> Energy Drain -> Bodyshot kills anything but a phantom and atlas instantly. I have never not been top of the scoreboard with widow - it's complete ass with the regular infiltrator no way to strip shields, but on the salarian it's god tier and anyone who says otherwise is a fool, widow + weight reduction on snipers and increased weight on salarian, almost perfectly syncs with cloak cooldown, a double damage widow shot + an ED every 3~ seconds beats out every other combo for effective damage combined with survivability and utility. 

Any class with overload or an asari to drain phantoms and you can cloak bodyshot kill a phantom with the widow, or kill it through cover.

Depending on how the other enemies work the widow may or may not be as effective, no way to strip armor easily, but barriers and shielded enemies are NP except the phantom whose barrier HP is just past the potential damage threshold with every modifier for a salarian to ED through.

Yes, complain about kill stealing in a co-op game where the points are pooled for exp...

Also, there is a Black Widow in the full game.  Think widow, with a little less penetration and about half damage, but with 3 shots/clip.

It's closer to two thirds iirc, damage. I doubt it performs as well though. The real one to look for is the geth rifle.

If you are with a good team on Gold, either Viper or Widow will work, with the Viper being much better at racking up kills. Or just go with a Carnifax. Why waste the warp ammo when you don't have to >.>

You can one shot phantoms with a mantis on gold, provided you hit them with the energy drain beforehand.

It's actually not just the Widow - any weapon that deals sufficient damage in one shot while applying Warp Ammo's bonus on shields, will be able to 1 shot a Phantom after ED.  The issue is even with maximum power evolution on ED, there's still a bit of shielding left over on the phantom after one hit.  This is what makes sniping phantoms on Gold such a pain.

The way it seems to work is if (weapon damage) * (warmp ammo shield damage bonus %) > (leftover phantom shields after ED) AND (weapon damage) > (phantom health), then phantom can be 1 shotted.

If you hit them with an energy drain before shooting them that's what we would call a two-shot kill.

I've trolled the widow/carnifex threads a ton for laughs, but all things considered Widow/Carnifex are best 2 guns in the demo.

Must have gone through over 30 or 40 veteran packs and still cannot unlock the damn Widow and thats the only weapon I want. Even got the Claymore just sitting in my weapons list of no use for me.

I thoroughly enjoy combining the Viper with the large radius ice blast. Hit a group of unprotected troops with the ice, then a couple easy headshots and some flavored syrup and you've got yourself a Cerberus Piragua.
