If I'm a Vanguard, I usually just Charge->Nova->Heavy Melee the Phantoms.  That also tends to leave me with just a couple seconds until I can use my powers to charge right back out of there if I find myself surrounded.

This - with maxed (weapon) damage and sniper rifle enhancements.
It's quite satisfying - her jumping around, doin' her thing, owning people and *boom* - no more Phantom.

Uggh if only she'd stay in scope.

To be fair the good old Mattock/Avenger pinning fire + grenade cleans 'em up pretty nice too.

She's a killer queeeeeen, gunpowder, guillotine, dynamite with a laser beam, guaranteed to blow your mind, anytime!

The main obvious key with regards defeating her is to ensure that as soon as you know she is around make her your focus, because left to her own devices she can ravage a team solo

This is pretty much it. Cloak behind cover, then approach her from the side or approach her enough where you can aim at her head and kaboom.

Also, the Krogan charge works wonders. Stagger/awesome damage/ do it again for overkill.[works on silver]

Nice tips. I love my Salarian Infiltrator with Widow and Phalanx. No Phantom can handle him, well at least not on bronze. The multiplayer is really good. I'd rather be spending time on the actual game, but it's still about 3 weeks away. I was playing in a pair -- my salarian and a guy playing an asari adept and we made a really good team and decimated Cerberus.

Oh and overload and shield drain are pretty effective on her barrier.

Agree with stasis. Works well for centurions and engineers too. I've also found now that my soldiers grenades, which I am loving by the way, and concussive shot have a few levels in them I can take them down reasonably easy.

Krogan Soldier charge. Just used it liberally against everything except the Atlas and Guardians. For some reason, Fortification is bugged, so using melee doesn't actually purge it. Apparently, you still get the damage bonus though. I had 20 or so melees. Phantoms are dangerous, but they won't beat charge spam with a Katana, not unless they manage to do that execute thing. Screw dodging, I. AM. KROGAN!

As an Asari Adept:

Step 1: Stasis

Step 2: Gangbang her with all your friends, aim your loads at her face for maximum trauma

If you play a human vanguard, your strategy for basically anything other than an Atlas is as follows:

1: Charge
2: Nova
3: Shotgun

Repeat as needed.

Vanguards are awesome.

lol ive actually taken out an atlas by doing this.

Queen FTW!

Well, as for taking on Phantom headstraight ... who wants to live forever? When I get access to MP, I am surely going to pummel some sense into those, only to beat the pulp of it out again.

Someone is going to get rocked, ... like a hurricane!

Anyone want to share any human soldier tips? At the moment I'm just concussion shot spamming her.

The phantom isn't so bad for any class as long as you have a handle on your powers. You usually don't even need to bother with the weapon unless she survived your other attacks.

For example, as a soldier I can spam grenades mixed with adrenalin rush. I just need to keep a small distance from her.

Not to insult anybody, by the phantom by herself isn't that hard. Its the enemies around her, or when she catches you off guard that she's hard.

With my Infiltrator I just blow their minds.
With my Vanguard I fight Fire with Fire.
I'm doing just fine.

Main tactic I've heard for soldiers is to just put as many rounds toward her until teammate can help

The key, more than any of the tactics here, is to strip her Barrier as quickly as possible. Rapid-fire weapons help, but keep in mind that when she has Barrier up she's immune to Warp, which makes her pretty terrifying to most of your team's Biotics.

Also, don't melee her unless you're a Krogan or a Vanguard; her melee is actually a sync-kill which just ends you.

That's not entirely true. The key is more to be AWARE of her, rather than make her the focus. Focusing on her can be just as much of a deathtrap as ignoring her if other equally dangerous enemies are around.

For example, while you are trying to hunt down the phantom two engineers plant turrets on opposite sides of the map. Its dangerous.

Asari + Stasis + Throw = Win
Although I haven't quite found a way to deal with turrets efficiently yet.
Food for thought. Max rank stasis becomes an aoe sphere that will make guardians drop their shield when they walk through it :)
